You did, when you agreed to Full Tilt's T&C's.

So Pokerbob, what would you do if you were ever theoretically in eric's shoes? (lets presume for the sake of this case that eric is innocent)? Do you just have to bend over and take the awful shafting they are dishing out?

wow missed that thread originally. almost exact same thing as ericjones.

Actually, I see a HUGE difference between the two. Namely, ITILTEZ posted to the forum immediately after having his account frozen, not 2 1/2 months later. The other HUGE difference is that ITILTEZ wanted ALL his money; the WHOLE 21K! Never once did he say he would settle for just his deposit.

He also obtained a lawyer to get his money. He must have been pretty confident in his innocence, and he proactively took steps to retrieve what he felt was righfully his.

Once again, these arguments only prove that he wasn't an experienced member of the poker community. Everybody always assumes that everyone is like themselves which is not always the case. This definitely damages his credibility, but it does not PRECLUDE his having any credibility. I expect vigilence out of our community, and while I congratulate us for proving that ericjones is a dumb hillbilly, proving he is a dumb hillbilly doesn't prove he committed credit card fraud against Full Tilt.

I don't find any of ericjones actions out of line with just not being all that bright to begin with. There are tons and tons and tons of people who have no clue how to formulate meaningful arguments for whatever reason. You wan't to encourage these players to play in your game. You want him to have this money back so he can lose it to you. Yet everyone just wants to convict him for being dumb.

Anybody who has worked in customer service should know just how incredibly stupid the average customer can be. And you know that some of them have been screwed (whether on purpose or by a mistake) by the company that you work for. And you'd be amazed at just how many of them sound like huge retards, can't formulate their thoughts, or answer questions on point, yet when you get to the bottom of what has gone on they did in fact get wronged somehow.

FTP won't release freely available public information (Hand Histories) that may or may not prove anything. BUT THEY ARE FREELY AVAILABLE to anyone who was in the hand, and he was in the hand. We have hearsay evidence only from both sides of the story, and the only actions that we have seen are Full Tilt Poker be incredibly shady. Two and a half months of shady e-mails followed by a nebulous explanation from the Full Tilt rep.

That UB story really got me galvanized on this one, because not everyone knows to turn to a forum after a couple days or has the reputation to have dozens of people on the Internet to come to their defense, or the ability to rally them to their defense.

Just as a side, cc fraud seems mildly complicated, and this guy doesn't seem bright enough to commit a mildly complicated crime. I understand those could be his intentions.

If it were the US, and he agreed to those types of T&Cs, which everybody agrees to on an every day basis with all kinds of transactions, you can ALWAYS challenge them in court.

I think ericjones could use someone as articulate as you are to handle things for him, guilty or not. I'm sure he'd kick back a percentage.

Well Ftp over a week and you haven't given 1 shred of evidence. Is my account still in audit? Knowing your employees they should post a answer in about half a year.

But we don't really know for certain that FTP didn't e-mail him the hand histories; we just have what ericjones is telling us.

Also, if the Hand Histories are available to all who were in the hand, then why doesn't he find these "regular players who are still playing on FTP today" as eric said himself, and ask them to help him out?

Yes, and quite frankly 100% of the burden of proof should be placed squarely on the shoulders of Full Tilt Poker. We can't trust ericjones on face, so Full Tilt Poker should clear up everything for us. Yet they've disappeared, and everyone is OK with that. Makes me sick.

Jan: "Why don't you stop answering questions with more questions?"

Eric's response: "Appear innocent? If I screwed them over with fraudlent credit cards a crime anywhere in this freakin world why would I send them my id and utility bill confirming where the hell I lived so they can involve law enforcement? Why don't you stop questioning everything I say and think for a minute? Why after they allegedly found out I commited a crime against them am I still here wasting my time getting harrased by many people? Why haven't I dropped it?"

Awesome!?
