So I'm assuming that the answer is something that appears in the latter and not the original painting. How about the fact that there are no clouds of snow behind the horses? Like the horses never moved? In the original there are clear clouds of snow behind the horses.

In this case, they might have changed a few subtle things in order to better transpose information (or "clues".)
