There is a scene in the movie "In the Heat of the Night", where Rod Steiger starts slapping some big Bully around. What makes it macho is that he does it with one hand in his pocket the whole time.

Arnold vs. the Predator with a bow and arrow and some McGuyver like traps.

game over.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree with corpsebean about the Indian guy taking on the Predator, way more macho than what Arnold did. Arnold was just trying to survive after it had taken everyone else out.

The Indian guy was making a stand so that others could escape.

[/ QUOTE ]

The indian guy was just resigned to his fate that he was gonna die.

the actually best scene is Mac chasing after the Predator while ditching all his extra, yet useful ammo, granades etc, cuz it was slowing him down...also the shaving bit was pretty cool.

Also for just surviving..he could have run day and night or swam down the river. Arnold instead decided to kick some ass since it killed most of his team.

Kinda surprised good ol' John Wayne hasn't been mentioned. Some good ones:

"Every time you turn around expect to see me. 'Cause one time you'll turn around and I'll be there, and I'll kill you, Matt." (Red River)

"Out here, due process is a bullet." (Green Beret)

Reverend Clayton: "Well, the prodigal brother. When did you get back? Ain't seen you since the surrender. Come to think of it, I didn't see you at the surrender."
Ethan: "I don't believe in surrenders. Nope, I've still got my saber, Reverend. Didn't beat it into no plowshare, neither." (The Searchers)

[/ QUOTE ]

I mentioned the scene at the end of True Grit. I think this is by far his best moment on screen.

They Live + Rowdy Roddy Piper

the fistfight and...

"I'm here to kick ass and chew gum...and I'm all out of gum"

[/ QUOTE ]

I loved that line, cracked me up. (I think he said "Bubblegum", though.) Roddy said later that he actually improvised that line 'cause John Carpenter didn't like what he'd originally written and told him to 'just come up with something'.

Nothing else even comes close.

"[censored] you, that's my name. You know why mister? Cause you drove a Hyundai to get here tonight, I drove an 80,000 dollar BMW. That's my name. (To Lemmon) And your name is you're wanting. You can't play in the man's game, you can't close them? Then go home and tell your wife your troubles. Because only one thing counts in this life. Get them to sign on the line which is dotted. You hear me you [censored]' [censored]."
