We always had a problem with going to dinner. If I picked, she wouldn't be happy. If I let her pick, she couldn't decide. We finally agreed that whoever was driving picked, but it never solved the problems.
One night, she drove us up and down a restaurant row, asking me if such-and-such was ok with me. I said, "Sure." to whatever place she said, then she'd drive right by. "I said X was fine." Silence. Repeat. Finally, I was able to discover her reason for not stopping: "Sure" doesn't mean the same thing as "Yes". After consulting a dictionary later, she assured me that she was right, since my usage of 'sure' in this manner is considered informal. Another night, I take her out to dinner. After we get seated, I ask her what's wrong, pretty sure she's not happy with my choice. "I went to Luigi's for lunch--I can't believe you'd make me eat Italian again for dinner. You always make me do what you want, etc." She never told me about her lunch, so when she gets done I ask her what she had at the other place. "Nothing, I already ate before we went to lunch. I just went cuz so-and-so wanted me to go with her." I laugh and get the evil eye and then more about my callous and uncaring nature. I suggest we can go to somewhere else. She says, "You wanted to eat here. We already started eating the bread (as she grabs the first piece). It is not fair to the staff. I don't want to wait forever somewhere else." "It is a weekday, we'll get seated..." I start, but then realize, "you've already decided on something, haven't you?" "I love the eggplant here..." |

last nite, about 1 am me and my girlfriend get ready for bed. i brush my teeth while she changes the sheets and makes the bed. i finish, she is already in the bed, getting comfortable. i join her and discover the comforter is upside down. i ask if we can flip it, and she asks why, adding, 'it's the same on both sides'. i explain it's not, it's got this annoying pocket flap thing on one side that my toes get tangled up in. she denies the existence of the thing and says she's already comfortable and she doesn't want to move. i tell her she won't have to move and go to flip the comforter but she digs her claws in and won't let it go, even when i tickle her. she tells me not to be a [censored] baby between giggles, so i say fine and sulk.
i woke up with my toes tangled up in the [censored] flap. dammit. |

She gets mad at you for FORCING her to eat Italian twice in one day (when in reality she admittadly hadn't eaten it yet). Then when you offer another option she declines, citing that there is a dish she loves here. If I heard her say that I would have been like "Let's go." Seriously, stuff like that makes me angry to no end. I'd leave and hit a drive-thru on the way home. When a chick uses something petty like that for some greater argument, it's such bullsh*t. Because she doesn't like that you have "forced" her in the past to eat somewhere, she is going to concoct this big lie to leverage her argument (despite the fact that she legitimately enjoys a particular dish there). Women cut their nose off despite their face all the time. |

I'm just wondering if any OOTiots out there have similar stories to this one where their significant other WAY WAY WAY overreacts, and embarasses everyone withing a 200m radius in the process... [/ QUOTE ] The question should probably be is there any blokes with Girlfriends/wives that DONT have similar stories! |
