Now you see why I'm getting into this. If you imagine those guys being replaced with guys you CAN beat, you will see fairly nice addition to the green figures

Press ALT and PrtSC to 'copy' the window of stats. Then 'Paste' it into the Paint program that comes with windows. Save that as a JPEG and then host it on Imageshack.us

Thats what I do anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]

sorry man, I've never uploaded anything before. I got up to the part of pasting to Paint. THen I saved it. But how do u save "as Jpeg"? I just saved it and then I installed Imageshack, I clicked on the upload icon and then chose the file name to upload and then it looks like there's a meter bar moving as if completing the upload but then it stops and a message says "cannot upload file etc etc retry?". Where did I go wrong?

In the paint program, do a File; Save As and then at the bottom it says 'Save as Type'
Select JPEG from there.

Try again and upload the JPEG this time. I suspect the BMP file was too big.

A bot can only be as good as its programmer, right?

[/ QUOTE ]
This is an extremely naive idea. The potential to develop strong poker software is virtually unlimited. It's just going to take a few years. Here are some general issues:

1. Never tilted, tired, careless, or distracted.

2. Watches every hand on every table.

3. Has databases of hands for every player and knows in detail how you use every common betting pattern.

4. Knows more styles than any human player and uses them all.

But you are probably thinking of actual pure ability. In theory a neural net program could be developed that processes a large number of hands played by an expert and copies his style. It would be more work but there is no reason that this process couldn't copy how the expert adjusts his play based on stats and recently played hands. What's more you don't have to stop with one player. You could copy several players and alternate styles or you could mix-and-match pieces of styles based on what is successful. Such a bot could become better than any one player and in principle the developer need not have any poker skill at all beyond basic rules.

We've already seen the posts trying to acquire large player databases. I'm not saying that is the reason but it certainly could be. Some day it probably will be.

Or you could just take a big shortcut and have the bots discretely collude .

ive played quite alot against these and im 100% they are bots, but i dont think party cares about them, without those bots they woulndt have any games at all (well almost)

[/ QUOTE ]
Are we sure Party or Party insiders aren't operating the bots themselves?

Were these "bots" present before the U.S. restriction? Have they grown in volume since then?

I assigned them all a new icon called 'CHEATS' haha.

Then on 'Preferences' tab I just selected that icon. Might take you 15 mins or so but please post your results.

[/ QUOTE ]

Apparently I can't beat them either I lost a total of $2375 to them over 5400 hands. I am twice as bad as you plus I don't know how to upload my stats.

[/ QUOTE ]

And I still donīt get it.
After assigning them all a new icon, and after changing at the Preferences tab so that only those people/bots are at the list, how do I now see my actual results against only these players? If i try to include myself at the list, in order to see my stats too, and then try to look at won to/lost to under "misc stats" I nevertheless find all opponenets I just tried to filter away.
It would be very interresting to see this. I have played at 1020 - 3060 at Party only about 30k hands so far (after working my way up) but with a nice winrate of 3.4 bb/100. However a quick look at these names indicates maybe actually losing to them a bit. Would like to see the exact numbers here...
