Sorry I missed out on the good stuff, could not get a decent connection in East Germany.... blah...
Glad to be back home...

Seems like we've made his queen a big bishop. Which limits the scope of the queen, I'd swing the rook back to c6 and double up controlling the open file.

24...b5

We need to play the whole board. Now that curtains' queen is on g2 we can try to take control of the queenside. A one-dimensional plan of blowing up white's kingside won't be enough.

We should go after his king, it looks weak.

Also, that f2 pawn seems ripe for plucking; we need to scoop it up before he can bring in a fifth defender.

So what's the plan here, in general?

Also, how do you guys rate black's/white's chances of a win here? chances of a draw?

This is easy. Either the game ends in a draw, or someone wins. so:

Chance of Draw: 50%
Chance of not a Draw: 50%

Now, given that there was not a draw, either white wins or black wins so:

White's chance of winning: 25%
Black's chance of winning: 25%

Hope this clears things up.

24...Nc3 25. Qxd5 Nxd5 26. Rfe1 and if 26...Rfe6 27. Bd2.

I think 24...b5 may be better. Looking at everything
superficially, Black's remaining minor is better than
White's, Black's rooks are better than White's, the Black
Queen is a bit better. The only thing is that the Black
king doesn't have "luft" yet, and oh yes, down a pawn...
but obviously a lot of compensation for it.

Why do people like ...b5? Explain to me what this move has to do with chess.

** I know nothing about chess but have been following with great interest**

It seems like b5 would be a good move he cant go Qh3
so we can def. get to b4

Probably nothing, I just see us closing in on the King and he seems like he is on his heels.
