We're not talking about game-theory perfect bots, which are still difficult multiway. We're talking about bots that can beat fish. A point of common wisdom on these boards is that if you play perfectly preflop, you can make money in a lot of games if you play just ok postflop.

I believe his last comment is close to reality. There is far too much paranoia concerning bots infesting online ring games.

I disagree with those comments, the "bad" bots never make it out of "testing" at microlimits, whereas the decent bots will be quickly proliferated and dilute the profitability of the midstakes.
Of course a bot-maker is going to try and defend his position.

[/ QUOTE ] Don't get me wrong, I'm not too worried about bots. As long as you're better than them now, you're likely to stay better than them for the foreseeable future. It would be nice to know that they are bots, though, so you don't get into psychological games with them. And also, IF there are a significant number of bots, (and I previously assigned a 20% chance to this), then the mildly profitable games of the present would be insanely profitable without the bots, so that's an annoyance.

[/ QUOTE ] 6-max games only at 10/20, 15/30, 20/40 and 30/60. I've not observed any other limits or games.
