its not super exiting. im not amarillo slim (im not even sure he is). advantage play is mostly about doing many little subtle things and not big crazy scores. big scores and show off moves generally kill your action. most of the time when i do something showy like double down on a prop bet i can drive a green or bet someone i can make a crazy shot im doing it to LOSE THE BET. a mark will remember that stuff for years while you pick them apart.

as far as being good at golf. i have a huslers game, i.e i chip and put extremely well. what this does is make me look lucky. i can bomb a 300 drive but i wouldnt. that is equated w/ GOOD. getting up and down at precise moments or never 3 putting will fly under the radar.

ive seen plenty of fights and broken clubs but never from losing money always from a argument over the rules or overly nitty enforcement of rules. or just dudes having internal meltdowns.

the only time anyone ever wanted to kick my ass over a debt was a huge bet that was owed to me (at the time 1989) playing "name that tune" w/ an assistant pro in the shop. wed sit in the shop and listen to the rock station. everytime a song came on the first person to say "got it" and name the song correctly won. each bet was double or nothing and would start at a buck. iwas on a rolll and the bet got up to 128 when he thought the song "heaven" was by poison (correct answer warrant) and now he was down 256 and turned red and quit. everytime i asked for the money he told me hed go double or nothing on kicking my ass. i told everyone he was a welcher and the head pro fired him and gave me a set of display ping irons he had promised to the guy.
