How about finding him and then making him clear out his account to pay everyone: restitution
And then break his legs and crush his testicles in a vice: punishment Best of both worlds? |

Atom..your opinions have been noted. The thing is we were all told "just wait til the 20th and you'll all be paid." This was after he made is site disappear and put up a fake error page, and after he said he wouldn't be getting paid and neither would we, and after he decided that he was going to enforce his T&C to the letter, and after we were all told that his decisions were final and we would have to live up to our end of the "contractual obligations" put forth in the T&C. However, at every turn he has lied, attempted to steal, and to otherwise delay payment. His end of the contractual agreement is that we are paid by the 20th - which he has not lived up to. People have been very patient with him. It's time for him to pay up or suffer the consequences.

Hmm, interesting post. You start out by using sarcasm, or(to give you the benefit of the doubt) socratic irony. You then go on to completely miss my point, and then you finish off with a joke which seems to be an apt embodiment of your entire post: Amusing to read, minimal basis in reality, and not actual contributing to the thread. Either way, I'll just address the two main issues. 1) My credibility: When I made my original post and my followups to that, I wasn't asking for respect based on my post count. Obviously, it's retarded to think that the ideas put forth by someone with a low post count are necessarily invalid, and conversely when someone with a high post count makes a comment, everything should be taken as true. Sure, someone who just created their account or who hasn't posted much at all is more likely to be a fake, a troll, or a sock puppet. Maybe I am one of those, I really can't(or have no inclination to) prove otherwise. But that doesn't matter because I am not asserting facts(eg: stating "FON paid me right away, and has always been perfect towards me). Those are what you look out for when you see an unknown person posting, because such facts are not as reliable as those posted by respected members of the community. However, I was presenting my ideas and thoughts on this issue: Ideas which I thought were well-reasoned, and I tried to justify them. By all means, challenge those ideas, that's the point of this thread. But it doesn't matter who I am. I could be FON, David Sklansky, or someone who's never even played online poker... my reliability has no bearing on the validity of the arguments I make. That leads me to: 2. My Argument I did suggest that people relax, and I also warned about the dangers of being selfish in a situation like this. But I never said anything about giving him as much time as he needed, and I also didn't say that we shouldn't do anything because we don't want to make him mad. All I wanted to do was to remind people of what I see as a very natural spectrum which exists. At a bare minimum, FON is an individual with limited resources. We have all already decided that he will be giving up those resources. However, his losses will fall on a spectrum between restitution and punishment. Restitution is when he gives the money to the people who deserve it. Punishment is where he gives up the money to an uninvolved 3rd party(legal fees, court fees, fines imposed by court, IRS, etc.). For EVERY dollar that he is forced to give as punishment, that is one dollar less that is given as restitution.* Any of us have the power to inflict significant punishment on FON, by calling the cops, or going to court. The punishment we inflict by doing that greatly outweighs the amount any of us is individually owed. A person exercising that ability ends up costing other 2+2ers the money they may have received from him. Right now, I just feel that most of us would RATHER get money then see him lose the money we're owed to the courts or to legal fees. That is why I think we should make sure to let him know that the threat of punishment is there, but refrain from using that UNTIL a point where it is necessary or worthwhile. That point has nothing to do with time... that point is when the probability of getting our money (our EV, if you will) is so low that it becomes unimportant. That is when we will do everything we can to punish FON, and FON: if it gets to that point, I gurantee you that we, as a community, will punish you. *Obviously, the WORST thing to do is to do nothing at all... we can't let him keep all the money and then not punish him... but we've already decided that that won't happen. FON will be giving us the money we're owed, or getting punished, or some combination of the two. However, I would much rather see the money go into my pocket than into the pocket of some lawyers. More good news people: While I've already sent payment for several Starluck/Planetluck completions via PayPal, I've just been informed that "...your accruals have been negative due to your players cashing out and processing charge back...I am sorry to inform you that you will be getting paid for your September accruals." I realize that it says I will be getting paid for September accruals, however, it's obviously a typo. I've replied in hopes of being able to work something out, but I'm unsure how well things will go. Worse yet, I have no way of differentiating the players who have made chargebacks from the players who have completed the requirements in good-faith. As such, assuming I am unable to clear things up, all pending/processing Planetluck/Starluck leads will likely be Denied. Go ahead, flame away.

[/ QUOTE ] You're just now finding out PayPal payments have been sent? Way to be on top of things. That's what I mean...you guys go on and on flaming and mudslinging, but half of you never actually read the entire discussion thoroughly and therefore really don't know much about what's going on. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well I am not part of that half, so I know whats going on. You aren't going to pay people what you owe them and none of its your fault. I called my friend who did the Lucks in August. *SHOCK*! He was never paid. Guess the decision made today by the Lucks affected him too huh... We should start guessing what your next excuse will be. I am on the board with 'Neteller refused my deposit, but the money isnt in my bank, it will be a few days until I figure out where it is' |

"...your accruals have been negative due to your players cashing out and processing charge back...
In English what does this mean? All I know is I completed the offer, and was approved. I did nothing shady, have sent ID, been patient, but this is getting old. Why dont you take my $35 out of going out of business profits? At the least I'm owed the $5 promised for signing up at your P.O.S. site. If I am not paid I will be joining the sue him crowd. Unlike many who are miles away. I live in the area and a trip to courthouse to see FON squirm would be worth my $40, win or lose... |
