[/ QUOTE ] Even many of the guys who are complaining agree that they received an overlay. Scroll back and read for yourself; I'm taking them at their word. They just want a bigger overlay. How much extra is enough from a company that just got busted down to ruins despite doing nothing but run an honest business? Have a heart, man. Anyway, the whining is getting old. You can almost read the exasperation in Party's response - at this point, they're probably baffled that people are still complaining. I think it's time for folks to move on.

But despite all the annoyances and screwups, you can search these boards in vain to fine even one example where they cheated a player. The recent thread "10K extra in my account" just showed (once again) that the very vast majority of posters are nothing but petty thiefs.
Is it so surprising that they are saying that party cheated them? I dislike Party as much as my neighbour, but I have never seen them cheat anybody. 2+2ers on the other hand...

[/ QUOTE ] FWIW, I don't think Party cheated anyone. Not that it matters, but I think that people who downgraded their Party cabin did cheat Party. I don't particularly care to get into a morality debate, but you don't have to be a cheat or thief to run through the calculations using best guesses / intellectually honest assumptions and then genuinely believe that Party underpaid for the Monster seats. I think assuming 10-20,000 Weekly seats is extremely conservative, others diasgree. It doesn't make me or them a cheat, thief, or liar. I don't think it was an elaborate scam, conspriacy, or cheat by Party, they simply calculated and paid out those values incorrectly. Whether this was due to a business decision or Party's standard incompetence, it's unlikely we'll ever know for certain, since they won't share the details of their calculation.

Unless I miscalculated, they held a LARGE portion of the $s back, since they calculated it based on 8,000 Grand Final seats. Since there were only 1,000 won so far, and only 10,000 monthly seats + some unknown # of weekly seats this was grossly unfair. What they paid 1,000 Grand Final x $1,800 = $1.8 Million 10,000 Monthly x $350 = $3.5 M ~10,000 Weekly x $100 = $1.0 M Total =$6.3 M paid (out of $14.5M pool) ------------------------------------ I am sure you miscalculated something as in my opinion party paid out much less than what you state in your calculations because there cannot be out 10.000 monthly unused freerolls when they closed down the monster but probably just slightly more than half of them. In fact so far they made 6 weekly tourneys accounting for a total of 12.000 qualifiers to the monthly.... to this figure you should take away all the frerolls used for the first monthly which took place in september (about 7k players) so there cannot be much more than 5k monthly freerolls around. the only data we can't be sure about are the freer. for the weekly... but even if we estimate them to be the double of your data (20.000 instead of 10.000) the situation does not change a lot. 1,000 Grand Final x $1,800 = $1.8 Million 5,000 Monthly x $350 = $1.75 M ~10,000 Weekly x $100 = $1.0 M ------------------------------ Total paid out by PARTY 4.55 million (somewhere it was reported they reimbursed out 3.8 million that week but source was not official) Prizepool for grand final was 14 million only 6 funded by party (8 by customers special raking). Guaranteed prizepool for remaining 7 montly million + 26 weekly 100k is amounting to 9.6 million.... so 14+9.6= 23.6 million and they paid out less than 5 of them.... so you see who is the real winner of this promotion!!! PArty is CASHING IN the reimbursement for ALL GHOST players given by the difference by number of actual freerolls in real player's hands and the maximum number of players that each tourney could register.... so the new law is just a new and big excuse to cheat all of us. Ps. I made this consideration the day after they closed down... were surprised nobody complained here in italy or europe... i posted my claim but they seemed all happy for the money they got... now i found this long thread here which is really saying what i am convinced of since last week. These chaps keep screwing us!

Most people that Party ripped off are ignorant to the fact that they got ripped off, and most of the Poker News/Magazines are not objective in reporting the scam due to the money Party pays them.
Am sure that a classaction lawsuit would be to costly, and most of the players that got cheated do not even play Party anymore. If I was still living in Gibraltar I would have looked up the guilty PARTY and confronted them. ToT
