So, we had a massive snow storm here in Amherst (Buffalo, NY Suburb) and were without power for roughly 2 days (from Friday at 1am untill Sunday at 6pm), some people still dont have power and theyre projecting Sunday of this week.

Luckily I have a 4x4 and my parents live not to far, so my GF and I crashed there all weekend. SOme people were not as lucky and were stuck with no heat, no electric and unable to drink water unless boiled.

I have lived here all of my life, been through numerous blizzards and this is by far the worst I have ever seen.

So here are some pics from the morning after the storm

You guys should quit for the day. [censored] Robusto, just get back on an even keel and fire it up tomorrow or at least later tonight.

On another note, perhaps you will find this game (when you shoudln't) as amusing as me. I'm going to kill everyone.

Those pictures look awesome. 80 degrees here. Sometimes I wish it was cold here, then I realize that I'm tropical and I almost die when the tempature goes below 55.

My air conditioner kicked off for the first time yesterday. It's now about 76 degrees outside, cloudless, with a lightly rippling breeze playing across the surface of the lake in my back yard. I'm thinking about heading out back with a book to watch the sunset, sip an iced ginger ale, and smoke a nice cigar while sitting on the patio in my shorts and a t-shirt. The flowers are still in bloom and the ducks are swimming lazily around the lake. I'll think of you while I'm out there.

It is.

The damage is much worse than pictured but it gives an idea of how bad it was the first day after. Every single tree on the road our apartment complex is on is either split in half or all the branhces are broke off.

It was actually funny watching some of the foreigners (I live near a campus with AZNs orange!) try to get their cars out in 2' of wet heavy snow, they didnt get too far to say the least
