[ QUOTE ]
"The government also will be able to ensure that website operators don’t provide links to gambling websites" how do they expect to enforce this? this isn't communist china (yet) [/ QUOTE ] The meaning of the bill's language on this issue has been a major point of disagreement among analysts of the bill. So this statement by Frist is very important imo. It shows the Intent of the drafters of the Bill. While such Intent does not dictate a Court's interpretation of the Bill's language, it does indicate the Regulations likely to be enforced - or attempted to be enforced. PairTheBoard |

Nothing like the Southern Baptist press.
This article is well written and is good at slanting things to his favor. OTOH, I find the last paragraph terrible. Bragging about a company losing 50% of its worth? If the WTO gets a sniff of that and doesnt have a shitfit, I will be shocked. What about all the families invested in party gaming as their nest egg? They may be 'another country', but its pretty much like laughing at your brother getting this hours slashed at work. |

In a 1989 autobiography, Frist described how he "spent days and nights on end in the lab, taking the hearts out of cats, sexually molesting them, then dissecting each heart." [/ QUOTE ] I have to assume one of you did this, so please step forward and reveal yourself. |

LOL, great article. He basically [censored] all the millions of poker players and gamblers to look good for the religous right. He basically says so right here. Awesome, totally awesome. normally after reading that I would like to throw up. This just made me chuckle. One person can basically scold all of us consenting adults........... Father frist. lol
Maybe someday we can get a leader of congress that is a gambling, party animal that can ram through his legislation for us normal fun loving people when he decides to run for the presidency........ Then he can write an article in Cardplayer......... It was brought to my attention Americans are not allowed to have fun any longer. |

i thought the article was actually surprisingly well-written, for the most part. if he had written an identical article about a bill that did not include poker (and did include horse racing and online lotteries) i would mostly agree with it. i'm all for personal freedom, but as a country i don't think we need a lot of people dumping money overseas playing online roulette. flame away.
