Tough end to a great year out of the Twins. I'm really pleased for my A's. Beating the best pitcher in baseball really shaped things up for us.
I was practically in tears during the Scutaro chant. Hysterical.

Went to the game today, definitely an awesome experience.
A few notes: 1)The crowd was insanely involved. Frank Thomas got his M-V-P chant. The Duke got taken out to start the 9th and left the field to a standing O. And the crowd was chanting Scutaro's name during his 7th inning at-bat and continued chanting his name even when Jimenez came up to bat next. 2)They handed out towels for the fans to wave, but they ran out of supply and I was left waving an empty fist. Kind of lame. 3)Ater Morneau's 8th inning hr to right field, the crowd wanted the fan to throw the ball back unto the field. Milton Bradley got involved, turning around towards the right field bleachers and holding his glove out for a moment or two before a phantom ball was thrown back on the field. 4)Scutaro is clutch!!!

I'm swearing right now that if Oakland makes the Series, I will spend however much it takes to fly out there and hear the Marco Scutaro chants in person. They made me so happy just to hear it on TV. I'm jealous of the guys who were there today [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

i was at today's game (and will be at every home game for playoffs for the a's) and it was effing awesome.
you guys who don't know and follow the a's regularly don't realize just how much the fans love scutaro. he's come up big for us in big papi fashion but without all the national fanfare and has done a great job in playing whenever crosby and/or ellis was hurt. seriously, he deserved every bit of that 7th inning scutaro chant. go a's! btw, a's are 6-3 this year vs yankees and 4-5 vs detroit.
