The *Official* I Remember a Scene from An Obscure Film, But...

Sci-fi/horror type of movie I think, I remember seeing this scene on tv:

Giant spinning diamond-shaped robot thing is chasing this guy around the room, then it opens up and traps him inside and crushes him to death. I remember it from like 15 years ago cause it was such a weird scene.

Very long shot. Early-mid 70s. Probably a play on tv rather than a film. Shown in UK. A bunch of kids with white t-shirts each with one big black letter on - A, B, C, etc. - are bullying another kid. Very disturbing. Finally knowing what it was would achieve some sort of closure for me.

Pretty sure Nickelodeon, mid-80's (think Special Delivery). Likely Canadian or English. I think it was the typical kids in an old mansion with their grandmother type thing. The only major scene I remember was that there was a chopped off finger in a small jewelry box, and one of the kids yells in surprise "the finger!" when they open it. I was scared shitless of that scene for years.
