Well, I'm a bit older then quite a bit of the OOTers, I've been with everything from arm candy to a virgin when I met her, going to medical school, muslim.

The things I look for are,

Wit, she's got to be a great smart ass and open to shocking humor.

Intelligence, she's got to be able to hold her own in a conversation.

Beauty, she doesn't have to be a 10 on the typical OOT scale, but I have to find her attractive.

Honesty, she's got to be honest, white lies are fine, but have a core basis.

Independent, I'm old and hermitesque, I need my space and need tons of alone time.

Trust, I hate explaining every moment of my day, or why I went out the other night without her.


All that said...I've been with women who fulfill all those traits, and sometimes it still doesn't work. There has to be a spark, and no matter how much you try, you can't make yourself be in love with someone.
