Default San Diego vs. Vegas?

Will be in SD for a few weeks at the end of October, looking for close places to La Jolla to play some cards. Mainly interested in 1/2 NL, SNG's ($60 to $120), and some decent MTT's if I'm so inclined.

How do these rooms/games compare to the typical Vegas fair? (I live in Vegas)

I used the search feature and saw no real info about the San Diego rooms, however, with this satanic search feature, I very well could have screwed it up so apologies in advance if this is oft repeated or found somewhere else.

Any heads up on good rooms are greatly appreciated

Oceans Eleven would be my top recommendation. You might also want to try Pechanga, near Temecula. Bit of a drive (about an hour from SD, maybe a little less from La Jolla), but worth it. I like Sycuan too, out past El Cajon. I hear good things about Barona, but I've never played there. Personally, I would pass up Viejas; if I'm going out that way, I prefer Sycuan.

In my little bit of NL experience at Viejas the games there are usually terrible rock gardens. They have SNGs, but I don't know that I've ever seen one higher than $30 go (I think they offer 30, 60 and 100, but they'll probably let you try and start any size), and I'm sure the juice on them is ridiculous. The limit games are super soft though.

Betwene Oceans and Pechanga I would say Pechanga has softer limit games. Last time I played 4-8 the players were just obscene.
