It's so rare these days for people to get married *without* living together, that the only people who do this are hyper-religious types who believe that divorce is a mortal sin. It's this small (religious) subset that is being compared to the much larger group of people who live together before getting married. So of course the numbers are going to be skewed, but you're comparing two vastly different groups of people.
