I haven't watched him in a long time but it used to be Spirit Rock on UB. He's who Phil Gordon is referring to as BOW (Big Online Winner) in his book. He's also known for his freestyle rapping. [/ QUOTE ] thanks. do you know his 2p2 username so i could search the archives for some of his posts? i caught a couple of his verses before alright. |

I couldn't say for sure whether he was shooting an angle and attempting to tilt the older dude. What I did find somewhat suprising was how casually antes were treated both by the organizers and ESPN.
I realize that a $5k chip isn't a huge deal in terms of an $80m prize pool, but it is is still $5,000 of EV for somebody. In my world $5,000 is a significant amount of money and deserves somebody double-checking that everybody has anted-up. It's kind of like Citibank saying, "Oh never mind about the $5,000 we took from your account. We have over $80m on deposit at this branch." It's possible the whole thing was an angle, but also that PF was honestly mistaken and was upset. I don't think it's wierd to be upset by somebody not anteing for $5k. |

Makes for good TV, makes for a good ego boost, but is this good poker? Why on earth would you want to put so much on the line and risk near 2 weeks of work just so you can show someone up. [/ QUOTE ] This doesn't happen much, but when I play online, and someone starts talking, and they think they're getting into my head, my reaction has always been to reinforce that impression, and meanwhile to play normal, solid poker. In general, this means I don't do things that people on tilt would do. I don't make loose calldowns and I probably don't rebluff quite as much as I should. Maybe Prahlad thought he could induce Lisandro to be predictable in this fashion? In any case, the episode has me rethinking my solid poker shell against certain players. |

[ QUOTE ] The answer to this is probably "yes". Again, if you've ever sweated him online, so much of what we saw is like way standard for him. I would say it's less of an angle shoot and more the fact that Prahlad is like really weird and umm... vigilant with his feelings about poker ethics. Find some of his posts on here. [/ QUOTE ] any links? whats his username? [/ QUOTE ] You're joking, right? |

seriously, i hope this post was a joke.
PF's downright scary to play against because of things like this. Let's see lisandro read him after those two bluffs. Yikes. |
