Although for the general public, fifteen years from now they're probably going to remember "Beverly Hills."

rofl

Didn't say I was happy about it, but it's probably the biggest they've been

[/ QUOTE ]

Cmon man, you were alive in 1994. Buddy Holly was a million times bigger than Beverly Hills.

I would think Tool might be 'Sober'

Radiohead is definitely "Creep"

Beasties, yeah I think Sabotage is a good pick, or else Sure Shot... I mean for me it was always Paul Revere but I doubt that's in line with everyone else

Nas - If I Ruled the World
Biggie - meh, I guess it's probably Hypnotize, should be Juicy

Outkast is another tough one, still think it's Rosa Parks although Hey Ya is freakin infectious

For The Beatles, picking one is tough. Maybe:

I Wanna Hold Your Hand
She Loves You
Hey Jude
Yesterday

is an okay nomination list.

Floyd - Money or ABITW, II.

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

Radiohead - Karma Police... maybe Paranoid Android.

Rage Against the Machine - Bulls on Parade

The Who - My Generation w/ Baba as close second.

[/ QUOTE ]
I think Rage should be Killing in the Name.

White Stripes-Seven Nation Army

The Strokes-Last Nite

STP-Plush

Sublime-What I Got or Date Rape

I think Pearl Jam's is without a doubt Jeremy

The Clash - Rock the Casbah probably has a slight lead on Should I Stay or Should I Go.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Kind of Man, though the millions might say Freebird or Sweet Home Alabama.

[/ QUOTE ]

is this your opinion of their best song? i think the point of the thread is to list the song that the general public most associates with the band.

[/ QUOTE ]

think of it as their most famous song, the one that everyone knows

I think it depends on if he's talking about just in America or worldwide. Yellow wasn't nearly as big here as it was in the UK, I don't think.
