Was that Norman Chad announcing live on one of Brunson's ME wins? Sure sounded like it.

Here's a few theories for you on why Molina went from being a loud mouth douchebag one day, to being quiet and meek the next day:
The boring explanation: Playing at the feature table and being constantly covered by cameras, being miked, and having hole card cams to worry about completely froze the little fella up. The NVGish explanation: After their little spat, Gold sent his Bodog thugs up to Molina's room to get him to realize who the man is. |

[ QUOTE ] I am amazed that many here think Lisandro was villian. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not. Lisandro: Older, rough-hewn, poker-"pro"-grinder-like Prahlad: Young, average-to-good-looking, internet-raised, made his name quickly, as if by lucky break that could happen to anyone Which one do you think the average college-student pro-wannabe would identify with? [/ QUOTE ] I'd like to think that no matter your age one would recognize that you don't call someone a theif, question their integrity on national TV, don't say "I don't trust you sir" when you have no grounds for such distrust. And, if one says such things, especially when you are wrong, that the person you are talking to might get a bit pissed. I can't say Lisandro is a hero, but his actions were totally understandble, while Prahlad was the villian in that interaction. I am also not sure I agree with your description of Lisandro as a "pro" (assuming the quotes around the word pro mean you think he isn't) and him being a grinder type ... he has lifetime winings of about 2 million and: WSOP 2006 Number of Cashes 48th All Time List 112th WSOP 2006 Money List 28th Compared Prahlad WSOP 2006 Number of Cashes 109th All Time List 197th WSOP 2006 Money List 39th NCAces |

[ QUOTE ] that flop bet w/ AJ vs Gold on the KKJ flop is soooooooo bad [/ QUOTE ] Most obvious WA/WB situation ever especially vs a guy capable of check/raises with air. Only card he has to fear is a Q coming off. [/ QUOTE ] That's why I like the flop bet. He makes the bet and it looks like he missed or at least he gives Gold the green light to raise with air and Gold is happy to oblige. Now if Gold really had a K or AA would he have the guts to bet here which would scare the opponent away? I think not. The guy needs to push his AJ when Gold check-raises. |

[ QUOTE ]
Prahlad either A) Really thought someone should stand up for the other dude if he had to put his ante in twice, since he was too meek to stand up for himself B) Did it to intentionally mess with Lisandro's head. Seemed kinda like B to me, since he made a big issue out of nothing. By the time it was over it looks as though Lisandro was really rattled and ticked off. If you think having him rattled will serve you well at the table, then NH Prahlad. [/ QUOTE ] No, not NH. Thre are certain things that are considerably out of bounds as far as goading someone into tilt. Calling someone a cheat and a liar (especially on national televison) is one of them. If he continued to needle him over and over again in the exact same passive-aggressive manner about, say a previous hand where Lissandro was outplayed, that's one thing. Some would still call him a douche for it, but whatever. What Prahlad did was over the edge. [ QUOTE ] Honestly if I was in lisandro's shoes i would have let Prahlad say all he wanted and never responded even once. [/ QUOTE ] That's what he did! The first time Prahlad mentioned it, he politely explained what happened. Even when Prahlad kept pressing it, he still behaved respectfully, and *was* mostly silent (if you're *too* quiet about it, you might appear guilty). Even the dealer was telling Prahlad to give it up, and he wouldn't. Finally yes, Lissandro blew his top, but it was completely understandable at that point. |

[/ QUOTE ] There's been about 6 diffrent posts on it and you want to give me sh!t about being repetative? Yeah, that never happens here much. That said, I was about done. But, should others start talking about how great Prahlad was doing what he did, I'll be back. NCAces |

Moreover, I'm a bit suprised that a know pro like Prahlad would do this to another well know cash game player like Lisandro and not expect to hear about it and lose some respect among the other pros. [/ QUOTE ] Spirit Rock: id rather be known as a prick Spirit Rock: then have 100 fake friends Spirit Rock: poker world is a joke |
