the spastic reaction of the guy whose 2 pair held up to beat Rizen, and anybody who ever has their aces hold up, just d-baggish.

[/ QUOTE ]
Didn't the dude with two pair just turn around and high five his friends? I don't remember him doing anything outlandish.

[/ QUOTE ]

There was more yelling at the dealing of the river card that I personally felt warrented.

I think I'm becoming stuffy or something.

A better example would be "Guy gets all in with Aces vs like AQ and then spazes out on river when he wins" Just non awesome imo.

[/ QUOTE ]

WTF are you talking about Dids? Erik Friberg who busted rizens Aces with 45 didnt make a single sound after the whole all-in? what are you talking about?

The short version is that Friedman accused Lisandro of cheating by not paying his 5,000T ante with absolutely no evidence. Let's not forget that this was at a poker table at the main event of the WSOP while being filmed by ESPN.

The casino tapes where reviewed and it was confirmed and televised on ESPN that Lisandro had paid his ante .

and ... in my opinion the douchebag award goes to the guy who without proof calls another guy a thief, and not to the accused, who knowing he did not steal, subsequently threatens to kick the accusers ass if he doesn't STFU. I am amazed that many here think Lisandro was villian.

Not sure what he was actually like at the tables but ESPN certainly painted him in douchey tones and N.Chad piled on a little too.

"What are you doing unsupervised?" was probably the best WSOP comment ever.

I don't think "I just bagged the elephant" can ever be topped.

I just re-watched it. Friberg literally made no sound, but his buddies were high-fiving and stuff. what's wrong with that?

I'm not.

Lisandro: Older, rough-hewn, poker-"pro"-grinder-like

Prahlad: Young, average-to-good-looking, internet-raised, made his name quickly, as if by lucky break that could happen to anyone

Which one do you think the average college-student pro-wannabe would identify with?

I thought it was painfully obvious that Prahlad was trying to tilt Lisandro. He did an excellent job. Then right after the whole episode he bluff shows him two hands and needles some more. There is no way anyone would care that much about an ante or blind that did not involve there chips. If there was a playbook to tilt someone, PF ran it perfectly.

PF was a douche about it, no question, but I think that he accomplished what he set out to do. It would be nice to see uncut coverage for at least an hour afterwords, who knows what we missed.

Prahlad either
A) Really thought someone should stand up for the other dude if he had to put his ante in twice, since he was too meek to stand up for himself
B) Did it to intentionally mess with Lisandro's head.

Seemed kinda like B to me, since he made a big issue out of nothing.

By the time it was over it looks as though Lisandro was really rattled and ticked off. If you think having him rattled will serve you well at the table, then NH Prahlad. Honestly if I was in lisandro's shoes i would have let Prahlad say all he wanted and never responded even once. I know I put the ante in, i know there isn't anythng anyone can do about it anyway, so say what you want. That's the way Lisandro COULD have won this little game-inside-the-game, but he didn't. He lost and let himself get played. NH, GG.

Me too. Moreover, I'm a bit suprised that a know pro like Prahlad would do this to another well know cash game player like Lisandro and not expect to hear about it and lose some respect among the other pros.

I respect Friedman's game bigtime and think he's a great player and though he was a cool dude, but lost a lot of respect for him after watching that whole thing. Lisandro overracted a bit but it's understandable IMHO. And not to harken back to the old days or anything but I'm sure saying that sort of sh*t in some underground club in Moscow or wherever could get you seriously beat up too.

All,

Did I miss it, or has nobody mentioned Gold repeatedly calling for the nine that makes Doug a straight?

[/ QUOTE ]

Thank you. The announcers even missed that one. Or missed a chance to bag on Gold a little. That was pretty bad.
