yeah I think that he was on tilt more then he was actually putting other people off their game....also I think his parents probably told him that he is making a fool out of himself and them. All in all, there was no excuse for him to be berating people like he did.

I didn't get to see the first half of the first hour, but if I was new to poker, would I have watched tonight's show and said, "hey, I'd like to give that a try and I have a grand to lose?" Probably not. Who would want to submit themselves to a game where you have Molina acting like an douchebag, people acting like second graders and "tattling" on someone because they said a bad word (Gold v. Mloina), the whole Prah v. Lisandro deal, Humberto and his schtick (which the Lon and the twit seem to think is just fine when in fact it is just as annoying as Molina), etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well as far as humberto goes I can't understand a word he says but he seems like a friendly guy, and shouldn't be put in the same roundup as the Molina champion douche I don't mind him at all. Oh and for the record norman chad is the man .

[/ QUOTE ]

I hear you, and perhaps if all I saw was what was on TV I might agree. But, from the reports I saw as I followed the ME, he was calling over the ESPN cameras whenever he would go all-in, and pretty much being a douchebag. I suppose it is supposed to be cute and all, but if you are the one who just took a bad beat, it would get old fast.

Haha, well it could have been worse. The spliced together two of our interactions--one where he was clearly out-of-line, the floor made a terrible ruling, and I spazzed. And the hand where he owned/busted me. The Prahlad/Lissandro drama was more enjoyable to me for some reason, though.

Default Lisandro/Friedman feud (wordy)

Short version of what happened: Prahlad thought Jeff didn't put in his $5000 ante and called him on it several times, claiming that the guy sitting in between them had been forced to ante twice as a result.

For those of you who were watching tonight, what did you think of the argument? At first, I thought Prahlad was being kind of petty and overreacting to what at that point of the tournament amounted to pocket change. I could see why Lisandro was angry about being accused of cheating or stealing, basically. However, as the argument just went on and on with neither guy letting it go, Lisandro kept getting angrier and eventually went way over the line by threatening to "knock Prahlad's head off" or something like that.

From what I had seen of Friedman before, I wasn't a big fan. I just remember how smug and arrogant he seemed at the final table of the 2005 Rincon circuit event. The whole episode tonight sort of changed my mind about him though. Throughout the whole thing, he never seemed to get excited. He kept his cool the whole time and didn't even raise his voice. This struck me as not only a good poker skill, but life skill as well. If you can remain calm in all situations, you will usually be in good shape. A lot of the time, the guy that is mad at you will get absolutely furious at the fact that you're able to stay under control so well. I always get a kick out of that when my "aloofness" (is that a word) pisses people off even more.

Your thoughts on the argument? It was more heated than anything I remember seeing on a poker broadcast.

ESPN is spinning WSOP into a soap opera even more so then has been portrayed in the past. I guess they realized that coin flips are boring to watch for most of us. I am uneasy to know how newcomers think of poker after seeing shows like tonight.
