Thanks for the info so far, guys. I lived in Vegas for over 20 years and have played at most of those places and worked in many of them.
The Florida ultra low limit bingo games aren't what I'm looking for – I think Colorado might be about the same, yes? no? Are there poker rooms in MD or is that just a game or two in bar? How about Tunica? I've never been there. Oddly enough, I'm back home for 6 years now, a PA native who spent twenty some years in Vegas and I've never been to AC. Might have to check out Bally's; I thought every place there had gone no smoking. Any other areas where there is somewhat of a concentration of poker? I'd prefer somewhere with at least a bit of a choice since it will involve travel to get there. |

Bally's is kinda of a sh!thole. I played there one night (I was a smoker then) and it took a long time to get drinks and the surroundings weren't all that hot.
Anyway, smoking at the table is overrated. It's better just to get up and go out in the casino or outdoors to smoke. |

At Casino San Pablo in the East Bay (California) you can't smoke at the tables, but they do allow smoking in the casino, which means you will have to get up from the table, but only have to walk 5 to 20 feet away to smoke, not go all the way outside. Given the smoking laws around here, I was shocked when I found this out.

How long ago did the Plaza go smoke free? [/ QUOTE ] Almost two years ago. Sam's Town was the most recent one to go non smoking in November of 2005 (and a lot of the customers left to play at Boulder Station instead). El COrtez is the only smoking room left downtown. |

Gila River in Arizona allows smoking at the table. [/ QUOTE ] Come out to Arizona, hit Gila River for your smoking fix then go over to Casino Arizona which has one of the best rooms in the country. IMO |

TylerD -- Any excuse for a trip to Amsterdam is fine with me. Are there any limit games? I'm dead money at pot limit.
I think there is some poker around Toronto, right? Anybody know the smoking status in Canada? What's the situation in New Orleans and Biloxi these days? |
