Does anyone have a good set of rules for strip poker? The idea is that everyone will end up drunk/naked, or close enough. However, some element of actual poker skill should be retained.

I think the standard is to have a cash buy-in NL tourney, then allow progressive rebuys for one article of clothing until fully naked. The bigger the cash buy-in, the more willing people will be to get naked in a last ditch attempt to get lucky and win the prize pool.
Most poker games I play at dont have the kind of players I would like to have naked. Old people and young guys. Very lacking in the young female department. Find a girl with a big pair of her own and pay her out of the rake to deal topless. This is always tons of fun and you dont have to look at dicks and balls all night long. -J |

Yes, play limit hold'em with shots of beer (the idea here is to get drunk, not to throw up after four hands...) For speed everybody has their own shot glass.
Played with only one blind to the left of the dealer. The Blind must do a blind shot of beer before receiving/looking at cards. Each bet is a shot of beer, limit format only. Ex: player in seat two wants to limp in he does a shot of beer, or raises to two shots of beer. After he's done his shots other players come in by calling or raising (Ex. Blind does his shot, UTG raises and does two shots of beer, MP player can call by doing two shots or raise by doing three shots). You get the picture. The blind has the option like normal. Betting continues in shots of beer consumed. Betting limits do not double on forth and fifth street - you open betting with one shot and the raise is to two shots etc, just like PF and on the flop). Winner of the hand (including if everybody else folds) gets to designate a player to take off an item of clothing or may choose to put on one item of clothing. No player may be designated the take-offee of clothing more than two hands in a row (so if you're picking on one player they can only be required to disrobe in four out of any given six hands. [Important exception, a player who goes to showdown and loses can always be designated as the take-offee even if said player has taken off items of clothing on the prior two hands.] Yes you can get drunk doing shots of beer. Think about it. If you raise PF and only go one bet on the flop turn and river that's about three quartesr of a can of beer. If this pace is too slow on the stripping the optional rule is that the winner of the hand can designate two players to take off an item of clothes (but not two items from one player. Note that in this variant, winner can still choose to put on an item, but he does not also get to designate a player to take off an item. Hope this helps. |

Zetack,
Your rules are good, and at this stage look like becoming my default. I was just curious because strip poker is widly talked about, but after thinking about it I couldn;t come up with a good set of simple rules. Still interested to here other's versions... |
