palmer is a lot better than wayne. i think trading palmer in most leagues will fetch better than wayne, and i think it would be wise to try to do so given that eli is a good enough qb anyway.

Standard Yahoo scoring. Start 3rb and 3wr.
My wr: Plax, Horn, Mccardell, Drew Bennett, Terry Glenn My rb: Steven Jackson, Cadillac, Droughns, Mwelde Moore, Michael Pittman, Stephen Davis I've been offered Steve Smith, Corey Dillon, Marion Barber for Cadillac, Pittman, and Terry Glenn. The thing that scares me is that Dillon may or may not be a big part of the offense late in the season. If Maroney takes over in New England, then I would be screwed cause I don't have another good starting rb to take Dillon's place. Your thoughts? |

Nothing ever materialized with the team I posted before, but I'd still like to upgrade/add depth to my #2 RB spot. Here's my team (12-team H2H league, standard CBS Sportsline scoring):
Philip Rivers Drew Brees Carson Palmer Deuce McAllister LaDainian Tomlinson Cedric Benson Travis Henry Donald Driver Marty Booker Keenan McCardell Marvin Harrison Jason Witten John Kasay DST Seahawks Now there are two teams that are pretty solid at the RB position that I'd like to target... Team 1: Mark Brunell Tom Brady Fred Taylor LaBrandon Toefield Samkon Gado Dominic Rhodes Willis McGahee Julius Jones Javon Walker Lee Evans Laveranues Coles Randy McMichael Shayne Graham DST Broncos All of my #2 RBs share the same by week (Week 7), and a bunch of his have the same bye week as well (Taylor and Rhodes most notably on Week 6), so that may be a good point to negotiate on. I wouldn't mind doing a straight up trade RB for RB, I just don't know who I should offer and go after. Would something McAllister for Rhodes straight up be smart? However, if I had to guess, he would most likely want to go after one of my starting WRs, or possibly try to get Palmer from me cheap after his poor Week 1 fantasy performance (I am NOT interested in trading Palmer this week at all). If this were the case (i.e. I'd have to give up a WR), I'd have to get a WR in return with little to no dropoff for me to feel comfortable with the trade (and his WRs don't really excite me too much). So essentially, I'd like to do a RB for RB straight up but am unsure about which players I should offer/target, but if anything will probably have to do a RB+QB/WR for a RB+WR, and am also unsure about which players would maximize my trade value in this type of deal. Team 2: Jake Plummer Trent Green Frank Gore Cadillac Williams Willie Parker Chester Taylor Andre Johnson Donte' Stallworth Mark Clayton Ben Troupe Todd Heap Rian Lindell DST Patriots DST Dolphins Obviously, with Trent Green injured and Jake Plummer's performance Week 1, he needs QB help. Neither Drew Brees nor Philip Rivers had great fantasy Week 1's, and he might just be able to pick up a QB on the waiver wire this week to keep him satisified for the time being, but if I package Brees or Rivers with the right player the offer might have some value to him. Do you think he'd go for something like Travis Henry and Drew Brees for Frank Gore or Chester Taylor? Should I be offering/targeting other players instead? Or would I be better off dealing with Team 1? Thanks. |

If he goes for that trade then take it, but he might want more for Gore or Taylor after their first games (Taylor >> Gore IMO, also). If he does overvalue Week 1 performances, it might be a good time to target Cadillac, who should still be better than both Gore and Taylor. Definitely take advantage of Henry's 2 TDs and try to dump him for what you can get (he hurt his toe, too). |

I agree I should be working with team two.
I made a list of most of the possible offers that I feel have a shot at working: Team A (my team) Philip Rivers Drew Brees Carson Palmer Deuce McAllister LaDainian Tomlinson Cedric Benson Travis Henry Donald Driver Marty Booker Keenan McCardell Marvin Harrison Jason Witten John Kasay DST Seahawks Team B Jake Plummer Trent Green Frank Gore Cadillac Williams Willie Parker Chester Taylor Andre Johnson Donte' Stallworth Mark Clayton Ben Troupe Todd Heap Rian Lindell DST Patriots DST Dolphins Offers (QB2 = Brees or Rivers) Henry/QB2 for Gore Henry/QB2 for Taylor Henry/QB2 for Williams McAllister/QB2 for Gore McAllister/QB2 for Taylor McAllister/QB2 for Williams Driver/Henry/QB2 for Gore/Stallworth Driver/Henry/QB2 for Taylor/Stallworth Driver/Henry/QB2 for Williams/Stallworth Driver/McAllister/QB2 for Gore/Stallworth Driver/McAllister/QB2 for Taylor Stallworth Driver/McAllister/QB2 for Williams/Stallworth Harrison/Henry/QB2 for Gore/Stallworth Harrison/Henry/QB2 for Taylor/Stallworth Harrison/Henry/QB2 for Williams/Stallworth Harrison/McAllister/QB2 for Gore/Stallworth Harrison/McAllister/QB2 for Taylor Stallworth Harrison/McAllister/QB2 for Williams/Stallworth Which is the BEST offer for Team A? Which is the BEST offer for Team B? Which offer would be the fairest, or are they all too lopsided? |

Tough to accurately guage all the values after week 1 in which several of those guys significantly out performed their expectations. More importantly, how does the other owner feel about the players involved? Would he consider Driver for Stallworth an upgrade at this point (a case could definitely be made that the latter vaulted after the former in terms of value)?
Personally, I think like Driver/Henry/QB2 for Williams/Stallworth is about the evenest of that list, but it all depends on what he's willing to accept. Guys are rarely very clinical when it comes to their fantasy teams- they have loyalties and hatreds that often make very little sense. You might consider waiting a week and see what happens. You're not in an emergency situation. Both Cadillac and Willie parker have byes in week 4, so you might use that in a deal for Williams. |

Just proposed this trade. Is it a smart trade for me or should I cancel immediately?
I get Tom Brady and Corey Dillon. He gets Cadillac Williams and Willis McGahee. My other QBs are Hasselbeck and Plummer (vomit), and my other RBs are LT and I just picked up Chester Taylor. 1 pt for every 20 yards rushing/receiving 3 pts at 100 yards 1 pt for every reception 6 pts for every touchdown 50 yards for every passing yard |

i really dont like it kyro. seems like a league where QBs aren't that valuable anyway, and with hasselbeck and plummer you are pretty ok. plummer should have a much better week this time around... if he still looks horrible you can look to dump him and pick up pennington. dillon sucks and will maybe get a few TD but is splitting carries with maroney.
