seems to be quite an expensive Beta test you lot are conducting.

Dunno about that.
Just played about 600 hands on party 200 nl using SS for table selection (default rules)at over +50 BB/100 (I normally run at just over 10)
Could be a fluctuation, but I think it just paid for itself!!
Great job Ben, anyone who doesn't buy this needs there bumps feeling [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
All the best

Ben:

My setup utilizes a dedicated PostGRE SQL database server on a separate computer, and a workstation where I do all of my importing, playing, and "Sixth Sensing". The PTAgg tool asks for the location of Psql.exe on the workstation, however since only pgADMIN and the PostGRE SQL ODBC drivers are installed on the workstation I don't know what to do.

PS: My 2-computer method saves tons of time during import and searches since my databases contain 2 million + hands.

You can manually edit SS's configuration settings file to have PTAgg point to whatever connection string you want. We'll probably add something to the dialog to make that easier, but for now it should be easy enough to edit the .ini file.

Let me know if you have problems with that.

Which ini file? Which section? This is all I found in my PTAgg.ini file:

[Notify]
FirstScan=False
[StatusForm]
Left=0
Top=0
Width=596
Height=417
[LogForm]
Left=0
Top=0
Width=596
Height=417

Its confusing since its actually in SixthSenseClient.ini. The "ConStr" line under "AggDatabase" is what you'd change. Just Change the appropriate items, like "Data Source" should point to the host name or IP address of your postgres server machine.

Let me know if that works or not.

-Ben

[AggDatabase]
ConStr=Provider=PostgreSQL.1;Password=postgres;Use r ID=postgres;Data Source=localhost;Location=ptagg;Extended Properties=""

I added (yes, added. It wasn't in my SixthSenseClient.ini file) the construct you listed above and edited it as follows:

[AggDatabase]
ConStr=Provider=PostgreSQL.1;Password=*********;Us er ID=postgres;Data Source=192.168.1.168;Location=ptagg;Extended Properties=""

However there was no change, the problem still exists and the ptagg database is never created

Oops, sorry, I forgot to explain all the steps.

You'll need to install SS on a machine that has Postgres installed on it too. Then use the "Config DBs" menu to create the PTAgg database on that machine. After that is done then you can edit the .ini file on the other machine that points to it.

is there any word on getting a 1 time fee program like this?
(my cpu can handle the load I would think)

I sometimes have months where I play only a day then other months when I play daily depending on my projects...
I used the free trial but only managed to log in about 2 sessions during this time (one I managed 30bb/100 for 300+ hands the other was about 2bb/100 for a few hundred)

I am trying to extend to the 15-day trial, but instead of being taken to PayPal, it is asking me for a trial extension code. Where do I get one of these?

Are the servers down right now? (2:40am EST)
I'm getting Error: Socket ERror # 11004.

Never seen this before.
It's happening from both my laptop and desktop, so pretty sure it's a server side thing.
