[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] How about ANDREW BLACKs meltdown at the final table in 2005? [/ QUOTE ] FYP [/ QUOTE ] you have no idea what you are talking about. if anything, andrew black made an amazing call against dannenmann. dannenmann managed to suck out that hand, got a ton of chips, and proceeded to win a coin flip to knock andrew black out of the tournament. [/ QUOTE ] If you want to talk meltdowns, Scott Lazar (2005 main event final table) going from healthy to bust in about 3 hands has to rank near the top. Didn't he call an all-in from Black with like QTo due to tilt? |

Yeah, all the talk about Black's "meltdown" or "choke" at the FT last year is overblown. He didn't make any single terrible plays. He picked a bad spot to be aggressive against the biggest tard at the table who just happened to have a big hand and then caught the bad end of the variance stick the rest of the way.
Lazaar on the other hand did in fact meltdown, blowing through his entire stack in mega -EV situations (no way he thought he was ahead on those hands). These of course are "series" of plays, just like Tiffany Williamson's repeated all in's with A/x vs KK or QQ and hitting her A quite often. Each one is "bad" but when viewed as a series it's like "Ewwwww!!!!" If you want the single WORST play or mistake the set of ten's fold is pretty good, or heck if you want a more obscure one how about this year when a no name guy apparently called an all in on the river with nothing. |

Does anybody know how many chips were at stake when he made that call? "I play the board", was about the last thing I expected him to say. |

Never heard of this hand until ESPN showed during their Scotty N segment. Does anybody know how many chips were at stake when he made that call? "I play the board", was about the last thing I expected him to say. [/ QUOTE ] The board had a full house: 89988, and Scotty had a 9. All in all, it's not really that ridiculous a call, as an agressive player like Scotty is certainly capable of trying to push McBride off of a split pot. |

the infamous "you call it be all over baby" may have led him to the call as well

Best part of that recap? They take the time to point out Scotty is drinking a Michelob.
