Who will win the SSNL HU tournament $100? $50?
How many hands do you play / month on average? Are you trying to get up to 50/100 or are you going to stop at, say, 1/2nl and just play recreationally for some extra cash? |

[ QUOTE ] Samoleus can play 50% of his hands at NL2000 and be one of the biggest winners in the game. I think for mere mortals something like 32-33VPIP is about the maximum you can play profitably. The key to playing so many hands is superior hand reading skills. My hand reading sucks so I stick to about 20 VPIP. [/ QUOTE ] To elaborate on that, how does it affect opponents if you have seen some one playing this way ? Would opponents over-react and start pushing their marginal hands ? Do they really notice at 50, 100 NL ? Finally, a lot of 2p2ers pride themselves (from the way they write their posts) at following (supposedly) perfect stats. Will they look at me like a donk and is it +EV ? [ QUOTE ] And get PT already, it's the best investment you'll ever make. [/ QUOTE ] I have PT just didn't have it setup in my current home. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not quite sure I understand your question, but I don't think you need to worry about anyone adjusting their play to exploit whatever weaknesses you may have at 100NL and below. Some good players will, but those players are few and far between. As for your stats, there's a big difference between 40/10 and 40/30. If you're 40/30 I probably don't want you at my table, but if you are 40/10 I definitely don't mind you there. Just get ready to be brutally assulted whenever I have position on you. And TBH, from my experience, a lot of 2p2ers really overestimate how good they are. I wouldn't worry too much about how 2p2ers play against you. Worry about playing vs. fish and taking their money instead. If your table selection is good you shouldn't have too many 2p2ers at your tables anyway. |

[ QUOTE ]
What is your 3-bet range, and do you use the 3-bet like cts and diablo to force opponents out of there comfort zone. [/ QUOTE ] 3-betting and squeezing is something that I've just started adding to my game over the past week or so and I love the results so far. So often, granted you pick your spots well, you can take down the pot preflop or with a cbet. It's a huge moneymaker when done well. I don't have a 3-betting range per se, it depends almost completely on the opponent and situation. |

(I get 10% of his winnings). Average maybe 20kish. I want to start playing more, so expect that number to be around 30k-40kish and even more in the future. My unofficial goal for this year is to get to 5/10. I think if I do manage to get there I'll be very happy. Right now I have some aspirations to play the nosebleed stakes, but I seriously doubt whether I'll ever be good enough to win in those games. |

whats the problem with the non monster tables on party? [/ QUOTE ] There aren't enough of them? Fish play at monster tables? I don't know. As soon as the Monster came out I withdrew everything and headed back to Full Tilt. |

How often do you bluff? Do you feel like firing a 2nd barrel is an effective part of your arsenal? How often do you C-bet in Position, OOP?

[ QUOTE ] kit, what are your thoughts on FT 200nl? which regulars give you the most trouble and why? [/ QUOTE ] I just looked at my datamined PT stats and I have Freak Sho, HORRIBLEPOSE, TyroneBiggums, maytown and DianaAA as my biggest winners (but only over about 2k hands each). Obviously that doesn't say anything about how good they are. [/ QUOTE ] eh. IMO, my toughest competition is 'MyNameIsBusto', 'PTYOBBD' or something like that, and naknak. |

[ QUOTE ] actually, my problem is that i have too much crap stored as "useful" information. i'm busy sorting/organizing my favorites list right now. it has close to 600 entries . [/ QUOTE ] If you don't mind, can you send that favorite list to me ? PM me, if that works. I am in need of threads to munch on. Thanks ! [/ QUOTE ] Trust me, you don't want it in its current form. ~600 threads is too much. I'm trying to organize it into a nice post so that it'll be useful for me and for others. Have you read through all of the master sticky links, digests and retro links? |

I had a 4.5 buyin downswing last night. Do I suck at poker?
I really have been considering bonus whoring as you discussed. I have been reluctant because I have a fair amount of mined data at party, Sixth Sense (the greatest thing since fire), and a decent buddy list. I just started NL this month (6max) and worked a $225 roll up to 1K over 11K hands. I currently play $50NL. Would bonus whoring be of value, or should I keep working up towards $200NL the old fashioned way? -Jaxx |
