How do I set up pokertracker to import these files automatically? I read something about naming a file empire.exe, but didn't quite understand.

[/ QUOTE ]

1. Make a folder for mining somewhere.
2. Copy an execuatble into this folder and rename it EmpirePoker.exe (or another skin you don't use).
3. Copy FreePHG.exe into this folder also.
4. Open up some tables (see below).
5. Start running FreePHG.exe from your mining folder and you should start to see .hhf files appearing for the tables you are watching.
6. When you want to import these hands, point PT at this folder by pointing it at the EmpirePoker.exe (it will then think this folder is the empire folder and [auto-]import from their).

(Thanks the Adde for working out this method! )

What is the name of the program you use to make sure you've always got an active table open? I don't think I can still run partymine with this.

[/ QUOTE ]

The program (really its a AHK script, but its cool - better than PartyMine IMO) you want is called iWitness (its main discussion thread is (here).

Also I read that someone had 25 tables open. How can that be if you can only open 12?

[/ QUOTE ]
I think you need to use multiple Windows XP user areas for this, and just mine 4 extra tables in each user area (I wouldn't risk multiple Party accounts after the ZJ thing). To be able to do this you will need a pretty fast PC, and I am not even 100% sure yet how this will work as FPHG is pretty CPU intensive, but a few are likely trying it and we should get some feedback fairly soon.

BTW: How do you open 12 tables, I can only do 10?

I did this and it says [censored] like
Import Finished - 11 file(s) read - 0 new hand(s) were imported.

The tables are showing up in the mining folder...PT is accessing the mining folder..it obviously sees the 11 tables I have open..but its not importing any hand histories??

Default Re: FPHG available

Ok I feel like a real idiot, since apparently no one else is having problems getting this up and running. But I feel like there needs to be a step by step. I've downloaded FPHG, have the window running and hands are being grabbed. However:
where are they being stored?
How do I access FPHG the 2nd and subseqent times I want to
run it?
Is there any trick to getting poker tracker to recongnize
these files, or is it as simple as 'configuring.'

Thanks alot, and let me know an email address if you'd like an neteller donation.

You can log in. Go to the beginning of this thread, which will explain how to best use this program.

FPHG was designed to save hand history files to disk.

Poker Tracker is designed to take hand history files and import them into it's internal database.

If Poker Tracker is refusing to import hand history files, then this is not the fault of FPHG; it is a Poker Tracker problem and hence the proper place for reporting this problem is here:

It's just that Party saves the hand histories when you are seated as ".txt" and the old Party (before they removed it) saved the observed hand histories as ".hhf", so I just kept them the same as they were before hoping this would mean they would import into PT just the same as before.

I'm sorry I was a bit abrupt in my post, but I get so many questions about why PT wont import the hands every week and all FPHG is supposed to do is save hand histories (totally unrelated to PT).

so there is a way to get PTHG to save the files as .txt instead of .hhf correct?
maybe that will fix it

I know when I go into edit the run file it says soemthing
like
@echo off
then another line of info

I'll try fixing the bat file n see if that works

Yes people do use this trick, but I think that it will then mean that PT will import and store the full hand history for your observed hand histories, whereas using the ".hhf" files it is possible to just store the stats generated from the HH files making your BD much smaller (and possibly faster).

hmm maybe i'll have to ask PT support how to get it to store the .hhf info.

The reason i assume its not doing so is that it say 11 files read-0 hand simported
and the number of ring players in my ring game stats stays at 747.
