Default Re: Pricing & Release for Sixth Sense

ben,

you posted your reply so quickly that you probably didnt see my edited "p.s."

please check that for more information from me.

as i said there, these new results are with nothing else running. we'll see what happens when i need to use the program when playing and have other sites open and pt and pahud running.

as to the difference between the non-agg and agg times, perhaps the fact that i'm not sure if i have the largest db on top or not could be a factor. i'll check that and see.

and yes, if the FIRST scoring took 5 minutes, and then subsequent scorings were indeed faster, that would be tolerable.

p.s. it's not my pc!

What else is different between your laptop and your desktop?

[/ QUOTE ]

My laptap folds up and is portable. The desktop is very hard to carry on a plane. Otherwise I'm not sure how to answer your question. They both run XP. Do you or anyone else reading this happen to know what "Download Error: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error" means? Is this a message from SS or from my Windows machine or from postgres? What do the 1.1 and 500 codes refer to? And which "internal server" is it referring to?

Also does anyone else have SS working on their laptops connected through a lan to their desktop?

Just looking for a clue...

Default 2 hangups that are preventing me from ordering

1) When I use multiple table open it turns my party window into this:

All I'm running at the same time is party planner. I have to close and reopen Party to fix this. A deal killer.

2) I'd like to be able to sort by one column, and retain the previous sorting in another column. This seems pretty basic to me, as it's how any basic spreadsheet sorts data (by col A, then B).

To illustrate:

I would like to first filter for my buddies. Then of the tables I see buddies on, I would like to filter my tables by VP$IP.

Like So...

# FISH / VP$IP
2/40
2/38
2/33
2/22
1/55
1/22
1/18
0/30
0/22

As it is, it is a random jumble in the B column, making table opening more harried than need be. If these problems were solved, I would be likely to subscribe (At gold level).

Default Stat Cache

[ QUOTE ]
Next, you set Sixth Sense to use PT Aggregator. *Nothing else is running still*. You clear the stat cache, do a Refresh, and now it takes 45 minutes to score the tables.

SS what is the regiment with the stat cache ?

Are we supposed to clear it often and if so how often?

Can clearing the stats cache speed up the use of importing into the PTAggregator?

stats cache is it only for table scoring?

I checked my stats cache to clear it and it says I have 5054 records.

Just signed up for 6 months of gold subscription.

Expensive compared to other poker tools, but worth the money considering how much you can earn from using SS.

Keep up the good work!

I meant in terms of your network configuration. I'm guessing that your laptop goes through some extra network piece that somehow modifies the http request.

The "Internal Server Error" is coming from our web server. Since your desktop works but your laptop doesn't, something strange is happening the laptop's http request. I'm guessing its some kind of firewall or networking issue. Can you test hooking your laptop up to the internet differently, to see if you still get the problem?

I'm correct that your desktop works just fine, right?

Does SS work OK when you are not running Party Planner?

There might be a conflict between the two scripts.

Yes, that's on our to-do list.

You really never have to clear the stat cache or even worry about it. The only time its useful is when you want to do some testing to see how fast a non-cached table scoring will be.

Also, when a player is NOT found in your database, they are flagged in the stat cache to not search for them for 5 minutes. If you want to see if your importing is working you could also clear the cache to make sure these flagged players get loaded.
