Do you raise at any point? Calling down just doesn't feel right.

With unkowns I would tend to fold this preflop. If you want to play it then raise more preflop. As played I raise the flop bet to $15, re-evaluate turn.

Why not reraise the guy on the flop or to see if he is serious?

Isn't that better than calling down?
