[ QUOTE ]
your bench is far better than your starters. marion over duncan and kirilenko over lebron? i would love to hear your reasoning. [/ QUOTE ] It's about balance.... I don't want to just have starpower. Kobe is the no-doubt go-to guy on my first squad, which is fine, because I wouldn't want any power struggles. Kirilenko, Wallace, and Marion are about as good as you can get defensively, and with Kidd running the show, the offense will show up. I do admit that Duncan/Marion is pretty close, but I would absolutely want Kirilenko in this particular lineup over LeBron. |

[ QUOTE ]
have u seen his play in all star/olympic games? [/ QUOTE ] the all-star game is a lot different than a full season. I just can't see Iverson playing unselfishly for 82 games. -McGee |

Why wouldn't you just take Detroit's team, lock, stock, coach, bench and barrel? Can any team today go better than 33-5?

Why wouldn't you just take Detroit's team, lock, stock, coach, bench and barrel? Can any team today go better than 33-5? [/ QUOTE ] I've got 2/5ths of their starting lineup in mine. You're going to have a hard time selling me on Rip, Tayshaun or Sheed being better offensively or defensively than their counterparts in my lineup (Kobe, Matrix, Duncan). |

1- nash - I want a pure point guard, who can score also. As soon as he developes an outside shot, I'll take tony parker.
2- bryant - I think he can fit in a team concept. I want scoring and defense. 3- bowen - a strange pick, but I want a defense and dirty work player. also a spot up 3 shooter which would work with the drive and dish of parker/bryant/ double off of duncan. 4 - duncan - no explanation needed. 5 - ben wallace - defense, shot blocking, rebounding. I see a lot of lists ignoring defense. Defense wins championships. My team plays that D. For a sixth man, I want some scoring who can play 2 of the 2,3,4. I like a healthy tracy mcgrady. Garnett otherwise. For coach, I want popovich. brown is too head case for me. phil jackson is a very close second. |

1 iverson
2 lebron 3 kirilenko 4 dwight howard 5 ben wallace iverson jacks up a billion shots and wallace, howard and ak get 4000 offensive boards per game. lebron just sort of stands around or whatever. actually, maybe posey should start at the 2. no one would ever score on that lineup and they'd rack up insane turnover numbers. |

Yes, Kobe's clearly the most talented scorer in the NBA, but if your goal is to win games, I'm not at all certain putting Kobe onto that team would have made them 34-4 or better, and I think a good case can be made that they'd be more likely to be 32-6 or worse.
