Are there any car saleman here?
I am thinking of becoming a car salesman. I have been in sales for over 5 years and love it. Is there anyone here who is a car salesman or has sold cars before? Did/do you like the job? Any advice?? Thanks

i am thinking of buying a new car soon, is sept-nov the best time to buy b/c of the new model years coming in?
it will be my first new car purchase so any help appreciated

Yes, from what my dad says, prices for slightly used cars drop around this time of year. Well, now that I think about it, he may be BS'ing, because he says he wont co-sign a loan for my car until sept/oct..but that was his reason.

A friend of mine has been selling cars for 4 years. I'm not sure how much he enjoys it. He's very good at it, and has all the qualities you would expect to see in a successful car salesman. He talks a lot about different careers he wants to get into. His salary is decent, but he works 60 hrs/week on average to earn it.

I spent 15 years in the car business. Like a lot of things in life, you get out of it exactly what you put into it. It can be the easiest high paying job or the hardest low paying job you've ever had. I worked from salesman to desk manager to finance manager eventually becoming the used car sales manager.
It can be a great job if you can find the right store. Though that can be hard to do when you are not sure what to look for. Like others have stated, if you have any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer them in this thread.
