In California cardrooms (don't think it's the case for Indian casinos), games like blackjack aren't backed by the house, but by the player. To allow players to play higher limits, "corporations" like what Mike and Trish are part of, become the bank that others are playing against.

What were they discussing regarding getting down to heads up in a tournament? At work and missed that part. Something about giving an advantage, or unfair to people about to bust out/etc...

I believe they were talking about showing cards when it's headsup, that it's more likely to happen in cash games when it's strongly discouraged in tournaments.

Brent has one of my favorite quotes ever in televised poker when he got into some verbal jousting with Phil H. in the ME several years ago and Phil says something to the effect of, "do you always inturrupt someone's conversation, Brent?," to which Carter responds, "I was just marking your words from the last time."

According to the Hendon Mob, Brent finished 238th on the money list during the 2006 WSOP.

Jeff Madsen had his 3rd in the 2k O8 event, while Carter's 3rd was in the 3k O8, and he also finished 15th in the 5k O8.
