Nah I meant its unfortunate that it seems like everyone involved with the show seemed to have vanished off the face of the earth, other than Lynch I guess. You actually kinda remind me of Joan Chen.

I'm probably just gonna be domestic this weekend. By that I mean I'll get off my ass and do the laundry/dishes! I've been working pretty hard (for me) lately and going out a lot so I think I'm just gonna take it easy. Most of my friends went on this big trip to Japan and Singapore which I'm now regretting not going on as it sounds like they're having a blast. I'm actually housesitting a cat for a friend too.. I think I'm in need of some carpet cleaning also. There's a guy a few houses down who runs cleaning business that I think I'm going to take him up on.

Hey since we both have nothing going on wanna get a drink or something, like Sunday night? We can see who the best early retiree is... you may have me beat.

I'm Chris by the way. Got a name/number woman?

why do you say its unfortunate that you liked it? i loved it.

no, the government has me as retired, so thats what i tell people

probably going out with some friends tonight or tomorrow night. if its sunny, ill sit in my kiddie pool tomorrow. i usually go to the dog park every day, just got back. go to dog training sunday. nothing too exciting, just a normal weekend. i just got done dog sitting for my best friend so i feel the need to clean my carpets this weekend. how about you?

Boyle is an obvious nutcase.. I think the more truthful reason she didn't want to take her shirt off is she didn't want everyone to see what an oz of cocaine a day + a diet of twigs and sawdust does to a person. I can't think of anyone who has gone from no one to someone (MIB2) to no one so fast. Actually.. everyone involved with that show has virtually fallen off the face of the earth. Unfortunate, I loved it when growing up. I liked the 2nd season better than the first also - looking forward to that finally coming out only 15 years late..

You're retired too, huh? I prefer the term "self unemployed" or just "between jobs". Of course in my case I've been between jobs for 3 years now with no end in sight! Fortunately..

Up to anything this weekend?

thanks
not a lot of interesting messages
i guess that being a big nerd means im too cool for most people

i think that they should have used the same actress for donna. i hate when they do that. i remember that lara flynn boyle didnt want to do it because she would have to take her shirt off or something, and said she was catholic or some stupid reason. hasnt she done stuff like that since? maybe im wrong
i also think they need to stop fighting and release the second season
dont want to think anymore

A cute asian girl and a star trek fan. I bet you get a lot of interesting messages..

Hey question about Twin Peaks: not a lot of my friends have seen it, but I recently had the chance to rewatch the 2 hour pilot and then the 1st season, and then I was bored and watched FWWM again. I found the pilot to be really dated and lame compared to the rest of the series, but I thought the movie was incredible. What do you think?

OK, just trying to save you some time. I know if I hadn't read this thread through while it was happening, and just decided to read the whole thing one day, I would kill myself after I realized how much time I wasted.

Well see, it's like this: I've read the strategy forum for awhile but didn't even realize what OOT was 'til I started posting. Obviously, many can attest to it's addictive allure.
Still, this myspace thread was periodically sitting there, but didn't interest me in the slightest. However, this past week, it was like some 'Field Of Dreams' [censored] took over and commanded me to read this myspace thread and see what all the fuss was about. It is my destiny.

just got back from my first myspace date and need advice.

we go to dinner. we stayed there 3 hours drinking (4 drinks each). when we first met tonight i didn't get that vibe that she thought i was attractive. anyways, conversation goes well, we're both talking alot and drinking). so after i pay check, i suggest a bar for more drinks and she says she needs to get going because it takes a while for her to get from manhattan to queens and her parents need to pick her up from subway station (she is staying with parents for a week because her apartment is being renovated or some crap).

so i say ok (it's only 9:30 and i'm buzzing). she mentions something indirectly about maybe getting together again (felt contrived to me).

so what should i do? move on and only pursue her if she IMs me again? btw, she's Indian, so maybe it's a cultural hard to get thing. i have no idea.

a) don't go to dinner on a first date w/ someone from the internet

b) I made this mistake too but 3 hours is WAAAY too long and she'll feel stuck with you while you just sit there and gab. Set a time to meet for drinks, and when you're there (or beforehand) say you have to do something in an hour. You'll feel important/busy to her and she'll be into that.

As far as this chick it sounds a lot like my first date with my first myspace chick, I didn't think she was that into me either at first but I guess I was wrong. Sorta...

Don't overthink this. She definitely could have been holding herself back from getting too drunk on the first date. I'd wait a week, give her a call and ask her out again. If she seems sketchy at all then you can give it up.

Work on getting some more dates this week.

Sound advice. I do agree on a cultural element being present, but I wouldn't worry too much about it unless her conversation about her culture raised some of your personal requirement flags.

Yeah I didn't like this dinner idea. Did she offer to pay her share at all? Sounds like she basically invited you to buy her dinner.
