Just wanted to thank everyone here at the forum for their great posts, helped propel me to a 23rd finish at the main event. I was a long time lurker on the boards, and really tried to read and study a lot of the great posts in the month prior to the main event. Didn't have any internet hookup during the tourney, so I couldn't post/follow, but I wanted to give a huge shout out to this amazing community now that I'm back.

Your full name might be helpful. (Too lazy to look up the results on Card Player)

I played a couple full days with Cunningham, and he really is excellent, and a class act. Had an above avg stack for much of the tourney, but really got his stack up when he got paid off on 2 big sets. you very rarely see his cards--guy is just a machine. also played with Rizen, and watched his aces get cracked by a very tricky aggressive Swede, Friberg, in a hand i'm sure he'd like back as well. another really nice guy, great player.
I had a very steady run throughout the tourney, but didn't pick up a hand in the last 2 days (not the time to be card dead), and decided (maybe incorrectly) to push AJ into someone that woke up with aces. ugh....great tourney regardless, and would be happy to discuss some of the players and hands whenever. |
