RJ,

That rule was approved wholeheartedly by Mat, so I'm not really sure what you're so up in arms about. I guess just picking a fight?

[/ QUOTE ]

no. the rule is terrible. i generally object to terrible rules. which is why i seem to object to moderator/admin decisions a good amount.

Awesome idea Stuey. If you've got some creative idea you'd like to see used as an avatar, this space

You can even challenge us to make a certain avatar you have dreamed up.

I'd love to challenge you to make an avatar even better than this:

...but I don't want to ask the impossible of you.

Stuey, I've got a real problem. Due to my crappy tar, too many people are reading the content in my posts and realizing what a moreon I am. Please help distract them!

Stuey,

This is my first avatar. I would like to learn the technique you've outlined eventually, but in the meantime could you make one up for me based on this itube clip from the Colbert Report. Just the eagle at 0:00:34-0:00:36 or 0:00:50-0:00:52, whichever you think is better.

Thanks in advance.

Stuey, any chance at a moving Jesus Zoidberg avatar from "The Two Santas" episode of Futurama? Do you have any advice for people with a Mac that would want to do their own avatar? Since we are unable to do what you posted in your tutorial? I do have Creative Suite 2 on my computer, but that's about it.

I know nothing about making a motion avatar, but I have an idea of what I'd like to morph mine into.
My avatar is the word LIAR written diagonaly to look like a face. If someone could make it happen, here's what I'd like:

1) The mouth of the face opens and the cursive word "liar" comes out. (as pictured in my avatar, only rotated and small, to make it look like the face is saying the word)

2) The image zooms in closely to the word "liar", and rotates to form the original face in my current avatar.

3) There is a 10-15 second delay as a still, matching my current avatar, and the cycle begins again.

If anyone is willing to make this happen, I would be very grateful.

#1 no pause #2,3, and 4 just have different borders and a 12 second pause.
