Default Re: Rizen Hand Clarification from P5\'s

On a flop of AA7, Jamie Gold bets $400,000 and Doug Kim moves allin for nearly $2,000,000 more. Gold calls with the76 while Kim flips over the A8 for trip aces. The turn is the 6 and the river is the 3. Doug Kim has doubled up to nearly $5,000,000.

That call really sucked.

Rebuy?
Sean McCabe has stopped by the Rio today requesting to rebuy into the main event.

Don't know why this deserves a CP update...

This sounds like a good investment. Rebuy, get your 10k in chips, post an ante, lose the hand, and cash for six figures.

Thanks for letting us know this. We were all really worried about it.

Please continue to post sarcastic snarky comments after every tangential post in this thread/forum. It really adds alot to the discussion/atmosphere.

Two posts of yours...

Today:

Have you guys heard of pot odds and folding equity. Also, the antes in a lieve tournament is not the same as online. They are playing 30/60/10, so 160 in the pot to start. Good players fight for the pot.

Like I say, the people waiting for premium hands and good flops have already been blinded out.

vs. yesterday:

Pushing A8s UTG with M of 5.5 is mathematically very bad. It is an awful play.

[/ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't see the inconsistancy. There are some plays which you have the odds to make and others you haven't. Raising A8s UTG for 27xBB M or 11 is very donkish. Making a loose raise, loose reraise or loose call preflop or on the flop is often cEV+.

Here's some more odds to win from bluesq.com, if you want to bet "each way", (finish in the top 3), the odds would be N/4 instead of N/1:

Jamie Gold 5/1
Erik Friberg 8/1
David Einhorn 10/1
Rhett Butler 11/1
Allen Cunningham 11/1

[/ QUOTE ]

Good odds on Allen, eh?

[/ QUOTE ]

Now they are, but they were atrocious odds when it was posted. I think he had about 1/30th of the chips.

[/ QUOTE ]

That only matters if everyone is as skillful as him. Otherwise, your analysis stinks. He had 1/8700th of the chips to start and he ws 750-1. That was excellent value and I [and many others I'm sure] took him.

Final 2 tables now or are they waiting for someone else to bust (2 tables of 9)?

The call v Tech was so bad it makes you wonder whether the wheels are coming off. Even with his monster stack you cant give away 2 million on a bluff catching hand that would have likely had good outs anyway.
