I'm not sure if you're kididng or not, but those 11/1 odds on Cunningham were awful.

[/ QUOTE ]

The line on AC at bet365 was even shorter as was the line on Gold. The shortstacks had higher odds than bluesq though.

He's a good player and all, but let's be honest - he is back in this thing primarily because the deck has hit him hard. I mean AA v. KK between two sizable stacks... flopping a set and having your opponent pay you off.

Does anyone do anything right for you?

So WSOP POY last year and possible ME champ this year? Not bad.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not to mention that he has 2 final table finishes and a bracelet just this year.

[/ QUOTE ]
Also, his tears cure cancer. Unfortunately, Allen Cunningham has never cried.

[/ QUOTE ]

Man but he so stole that from "Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer; too bad he's never cried." NO MORE STEALING FROM CHUCK!

[/ QUOTE ]

And Cunningham's just pushed all in with a deuce [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], seven [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], joker, a Uno 4 And the get out of Jail Free Card.

I'll say what the guy who got me started playing told me about tournaments:

-You can be bad, catch fantastic cards and win.

-You can be good, catch great cards and win.

-Or you can be great, and catch good cards and win.

On an AZ-NM-LA-MS-AL board, John Edwards flips California and Texas for the nut straight, but Bill Frist takes it down with Wyoming and Rhode Island.

[/ QUOTE ]

that wouldn't make any sense at all

Exactly.

Magill Doubles Up to Cripple Lee
On a board showing
7 7 4 A
, with around $1,200,000 in the pot, Richard Lee pushes all-in for $2,500,000. John Magill thinks for a long while before finally pushing all-in for the call. Magill shows A J or two pair, Aces and 7's. Lee flips up J 9 for Jack-high and is drawing dead. The meaningless river is the 4 and Magill takes down the pot to double up to $5,300,000. Lee is crippled in the hand and is down to $490,000.

[/ QUOTE ]

Um.... wow.

What does a push accomplish that a 3/4-pot-sized bet doesn't?

i dont know much about the stacks/status of the event, but everyone realizes that gold making the call with 87 might actually be a smart play because:

1. if his two cards are live and there is dead money in the pot, the EV of the play can be close to breakeven

2. if other players know what he is willing to call with, they are not going to be bluffing him, getting other people to think that is sooooo huge.

GO DOUG!!!!!!!!! someone give me an update on tech.

Nice... at first I didn't realize that Lynch & Prahlad made the same about of money.

So the $2750 I spent on the last-longer is actually a push. Phew.
