then it starts looking through tables

[/ QUOTE ]

What do you mean by this? Are you using SS's table open feature? Or are you talking about SS is just scoring the tables.

What other software or scripts are you running at the same time?

How much memory is your system using, and how much do you have total? Use Windows Task manager (Performance tab) to find that out. Ideally your "Commit Charge Total" will be less than your "Physical Memory Total". If its higher then you have page swapping going on which will really slow you down. The only solution is to close some apps or buy more memory.

Hey,

It starts scoring them. I have quite a bit of programs running, but that is not really the point. I run all the programs at a whopping 3% of total memory usage(Performance tab) and when I start your program it goes anywhere from 85-99%. It has nothing to do with my computer, because I used your program before and it was fine. I have also tried closing all the apps except Party and it still does the same thing.

Hopefully when we have our database aggregator working, this won't be an issue as SS will use much less CPU.

I'm curious what numbers people use to setup their own custom scoring system. Not knowing what stats SS uses for the default makes it difficult to know if I like the system, hehe. So I'd like to setup my own but am unsure of a good system. Anyone willing to discuss this?

Hey SixthSense,
I just discovered, downloaded and used your program for the first time last night and was impressed.

I recognize the value of your program... But, as a micro to low limit player I probably could not justify a large monthly subscription fee for it...

I would hope for a one time fee, or perhaps a low monthly subscription fee.

Just my .02

Thanks.

As back ground info, there were 2 good threads on rating fish:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...&PHPSESSID=

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...&PHPSESSID=

(Special thanks to gasoltub, rvg and SamIAM).

Below is my CategoryRules.xml file from sixth sense for the custom search I did for SS for 1/2 Limit. FWIW, I hit on one list often results in a hit on the other.

if you decide to use it, I'd back up your file first before using mine below.

Default Suggestion

Ben,

Could you add check boxes by the tables you wish to open, so that you can open/join/watch/wait list several tables with one click? perhaps have a radio button next to each table on the list with open or join/wait?

Kind of a twist on my early suggestion.

Also, on some tables in the player seating portion, often a player's name will be colored a pee (puke?) green... What's this for, and is there a way to change it? Didn't see a formatting option for that...

thx!

i tried the software and i got this msg: error: unexpected protocol character from backend (send_query);

then i checked the .dll file mentioned earlier in this thread but mine was 1.0.0.19 instead of the 1.0.0.20

it also scanned 3 of 113 tables in 7:53 and during the scan it caused the computer to say low virtual memory. any ideas on what i can do or what is going on?

You need to reinstall SixthSense. I suggest doing a reboot first, then reinstall SS before starting any other applications. Then double check your DLL to make sure its the right version.
