Erik Seidel? With all the time he spends in BBV, i always pictured Nath to be more of a degenerate, a la TJ Cloutier.

suited, Jeff Madsen used his whole bankroll to buy into the WSOP tourney. As for how many times he was reraised, perhaps it's just that he strikes more fear into opponents than Ivy does. [/ QUOTE ] This is a really important point that can't be stressed enough. Who is more fear inspiring? Anyone who says Ivy is just racist. |

Where in the world is Stuey!? Since he's not on here, which is major -EV, then I guess I'll have to settle for Brunson. [/ QUOTE ] I don't the term -EV means what you think it does. |

[ QUOTE ] El D, Quick question. The event I finished second in this year was my first ever WSOP event. Given that kind of record as a first-timer, is it safe to say that if I had won the bracelet, I would, at least temporarily, have merited consideration as the best tournament player of all time? [/ QUOTE ] I'm pretty sure your actual result puts you in the running for "Biggest Loser Of All Time" a la Erik Seidel. [/ QUOTE ] Erik Seidel has SEVEN BRACELETS. Doesn't that make him like the fifth-best tournament player of all time? I'd hate to hear your thoughts on the guys who only have six. [ QUOTE ] Anyway, your question is ridiculous. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Would the Milwaukee Brewers be considered one of the greatest sports dynasties if they won 12 straight World Series? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, but that's not what I asked. Besides, I'm not really interested in the opinions of the majority of the posers here. I wanted El D's opinion because I consider him an expert at gauging that sort of thing. Me, I'm pretty sure I'm one of the ten best tournament players of all time, but I want to know how a change in results would improve my standings in the Eyes Of The Experts. |

nath,
Absolutely not. The results of a single tournament are largely luck-based. As for your current standing, as others have stated, all you have shown so far is an ability to not really perform at the only time when it really matters. |

El D,
The best tournament player ever is Kevin McBride, not to be confused with the best centerfielder ever, Bake McBride. |

big, I think you might be confusing Ivy's tournament play in Monte Carlo with WSOP. He apparently played a Monte Carlo tournament, but I don't think Ivy has ever played in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. [/ QUOTE ] lmao!!! Before you try to make a point try knowing what yout talking about. |
