As I said, I do think I could have gotten away from that hand but just couldn't bring myself to do it.
The awareness that I would still have $6.5k left was probably a factor as well.

I saw a guy push all-in with a biggish stack on the button against 3 or 4 limpers with 77.
He got called by KQ.


If he's a reasonable player then he would likely only have AA or KK.
But absent any reads, there's a reasonable chance he could be a total goofball playing 98s.
