First orbit at this table, so no reads. What should I do here? Is this a fold, or should I just call it down? After he calls my raise on the flop en bets again I guess I'm beat here, right?

For many villains at this level, minbet = draw. I'd make it $4. Calling is OK for pot control. Folding is INSANE, you are getting 26:1, which is even better than your odds to spike a T on the river.

Make it $7 on the turn. I'll guess he's on a straight draw or has an 8 and doesn't want to bet too much since the board is paired. If he's got a 9 (if you found out anyways), then he played it horribly. I wouldn't mind a c/c on the river if he leads out with another donk bet JIC the guy's got a 9 I guess....

I just call here. The flop call and turn minraise is likely to be "testing our resolve". By only calling the turn he will then bet his 8, underpair, or bluff whereas he is likely to fold these if we bet. If he has a 9 or overpair the cost of a river call is likely to be about the same as a bet/fold line and lets us see the cards.
Any draw is likely to be a straight draw (I don't give much credence to BD flushes) so his odds will be <1:5 for the river because our TT is likely to be 2 of his outs. |

I jam it all in here. He's on some kind of draw AND messing around in your pot. I do not tolerate that behavior. He's already shown he's going to to call your raise on the flop with his draw, let's see if he'll do it for all his dough.

You're going to fold a ton of draws that would have paid off a small raise, and you're going to get called by any 9. |

I've seen min bets used to induce bluffs or overplay of medium strength hands. Usually the line is minbet/call, minbet/call, big bet. I think the idea is that a check is an obvious way to show weakness (or strength) but a min bet really does look weak and lets a aggressive opponent bet your hand. I see this more often with big hands than with draws.

Pretty easy hand to play, raise the turn to $4, if he calls you can pretty safely put him on a straight draw, if he raises, hes got atleast a 9 and you fold safely.
