right - that's why there are so few fish to be had in any other big poker-room. [/ QUOTE ] Hey Bob - don't you think that online poker is significantly less profitable than it was a few years ago? Back in 2004 or so, tons of players were just giving it away. It seems to me that the pickings are slimmer than they once were. There will always be bad players, but back then you didn't even need to look for them. Is your experience different? |

HU tables - As stated elsewhere, HU is just a raketrap on most sites unless you play quite high. I try to play a good amout of HU on WPEX since this isn't a problem. Even if you can't fix the blinds on a normal table when it gets HU, this would provide a place for players to play a probel HU match with correct blinds and no interruptions from other players sitting in. [/ QUOTE ] I love this idea. Hu is one of my favorite games but I pay too much in rake. Your rakefree model would provide me the perfect place to play hu. |

I think there is a higher total of donks now than before. There are more players than before too of course. Most not-sucky/half-decent players really aren't that good anyway. You don't have to have 2 or 3 guys in the 80/20 range on your table for it to be profitable. I haven't been on Party in awhile but it's my understanding there aren't quite as many maniacs to go around (also partly due to more multi-tablers imo). But I think the games are still really good. And that this is true pretty much all over the place. I don't buy all the panic of "the fish are either getting smarter or they go broke." |

right - that's why there are so few fish to be had in any other big poker-room. Party and Stars have tons and tons of players. And, incredibly, not all of them are very good. I don't think the bad palyers are figuring such stuff out any faster than they normally would. Regarding TV advertising. There are no other sports-betting sites that advertise on television in the U.S. (to my knowledge). Part of the reason for this is that the stations simply don't want to air the ads for fear of the DOJ cracking down on them. WPEX can try to advertise on TV all they like. I'm sure that they and other sports-betting sites would LOOOOOVE to advertise on American television. But it just isn't likely to happen. And I don't see the point in WPEX trying to promote a dot-net, play-money-only type site. They can't even mention their 100% rake-back on such a play-money site (okay, they COULD say that you get all your play-money rake-back, but that would be stupid). So I'm not sure that a TV campaign is very realistic. [/ QUOTE ] Ok scrap the TV....advertise in Stuff/Maxim/FHM/Sporting News/SI/Esquire/GQ/EntWeekly/mens Health/Mens journal etc. Promote both the football sports betting and the poker. Add some kind of combo promotion. |

Definitely would love to see Omaha, O8, Stud, and Stud h/l tourneys.
No datamining 4 table max Some kind of small player time bank Instantaneous "I'm Back" button after time-out (although I no longer seem to have time-out issues ) |
