Reese just doubled up

On a flop of 9s 8d 3d, Reese checks and Bloch bets $120,000. Reese moves all in and Bloch makes the call and shows 9 7s for a pair of nines. Reese turns over Kd 6d for a flush draw. The turn is the 5d, giving Reese his flush. The river is the Kc and Chip Reese has doubled up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. Nice call by Andy. WTF???

[/ QUOTE ]

Getting his money in as the favorite against a likely flush draw with a chance to end the match right there. Tough call, but he made the right read.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bad call.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you honestly think that Andy Bloch is not aware of all of the reasons why you think it is a bad call, more than you are?

good response

According to that he was the only one playing those events, no wonder he won!

Many of the early listings for WSOP events usually just show the winner.

I really think Andy Bloch's head would explode before such a thought process entered it. If he thinks it's exactly borderline, maybe. A slightly (very slightly) more likely thought process is "my opponent is tired and fed up and there's both a flush draw and straight draw on the board, maybe he's just gambling".

Ahhh!! Me so smart.

I was going by the fact that they list winner and amount won and did a little math 2p2 style to figure out how many players. Be jealous of my skillz all.

I agree. I could never envision Andy making any decision without giving it some thought, especially a reckless one. This guy has a friggin' computer for a brain.

Now, someone like Josh Arieh on the other hand would have beat him into the pot proudly exclaiming the fact that "he's gambooling."
