[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] This thing might be heating up. I just saw on the news that the missile that hit Hafia was fired by Iranian gaurd units (says Israel). If this turns out to be true, does this mean war between Israel and Iran? [/ QUOTE ] Which station was this on? [/ QUOTE ] It was Fox News. It was just on again with more details. Israel says that the missle was an Iranian missile that Iran got from North Korea. The missle was fired from southern Lebanon by Iranian gaurd units that work with Hezbollah fighters. Hezbollah is saying that they didn't fire the missile. This might be escalating into a regional war. [/ QUOTE ]oh jesus, this sent chills down my spine. I hope this isn't true. |

[ QUOTE ] Israel has already proven in the past it can reach Iraq, so I don't think Iran is out of our reach. I doubt anything like that will happen tho. [/ QUOTE ] According to Wikipedia, the fighters had to be heavily fueled just to make it to Osirak (which is 1000 miles from Israel) and back. They'd have to cross over the entire country and back again. [/ QUOTE ] Missiles. |

[/ QUOTE ] Of course its true, at least to some extent, Iran does back Hezbollah. Where do you think they get all their weapons from, they're certainly not manufacturing them in Lebanon. The only question is how well Iran covered its tracks. Hopefully well, because Israel doesn't want to have to open up a third front and respond to Iran any more than Iran wants to be attacked by Israel (Well maybe it does, who knows these days). |

[/ QUOTE ] I highly doubt Global Security knows the full extent of Israeli capabilities. I doubt any intelligence agencies, save the CIA, know their full capabilities. Israel has shown in the past that the international community usually underestimates their capabilities. |
