The Big Sleep - the race horse banter between Bogey and Bacall

Blade Runner - Roy Batty meets Tyrell - "I've done questionable things."

Heat - The bank robbery shoot out

Lawrence of Arabia - the attack on Aquba

Tootsie - the Big Reveal

Raising Arizona - the opening montage

I know I could think of a hundred more

My Left Foot-- Restaurant scene.

In the Name of the Father-- Tribute to Guiseppe.

Crimes and Misdemeanors-- Passover scene.

Quiz Show-- Scene where Charles Van Doren tells his father he cheated.

The Godfather, part II-- Birthday flashback.

Andrei Rublev-- Borisha ringing the bell which, as far as I'm concerned, is the best scene ever filmed.

This is really a sick scene. Excellently placed.

-The knife fight in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

[/ QUOTE ]

Funny you should say that, but I was gonna say the opening scene in Butch and Sundance where Sundance is peeved and Butch tells the guy to 'just ask him to stay'. Redford is magnificent in it by barely doing anything, and yet so many forget this scene cos the rest of the movie is so jolly.

The scene in Miller's Crossing where Turturro is on his knees in the trees begging not to be shot.

That fist scene isn't Dead Poets Society, it's School Ties isn't it? Why do you like that scene so much?

As for my favorite scene, probably where Sonny beats the living hell out of Carlo in GF1

Nah, that's from Dead Poet's Society. No Brendan Frasier, Chris O'Donnell or Matt Damon in sight.
