ITALY will make the semis at least, get you're money on it! Last 8 will be 6 europeans + argentina and brazil. [/ QUOTE ] Thats very likely. The only 2 teams that may be good enough to make it 5-3 are either Ecuador or Mexico. But still I doubt it. |

ghana can easily make the round of 8, as could australia. in fact its quite possible they end up playing one another. moreover after yesterday´s matches, south korea is in a very good position to win their group (if togo withdraws, a 1-1 tie with switzerland is all they need i believe).

[/ QUOTE ] The fact that Ghana played a single good match against a strong opponent (that was weakened by a couple of injuries of course) does not makr them a candidate for the top 8. If you have a close look at the Czech game you have to realize that as it developed it was just the perfect situation for them. Theŭ scored in the first 5 minutes against an opponent that lost 2 of their strongest offensive players. Besides this losing Koller obviously weakened the whole team (just compare Rosickys performance against US to the Ghana game) - even more so after they were behind after a couple of minutes. I would love to see an African team in the quarterfinals too but sadly their most promising team got killed in the horror group. |

You are just being ridiculous here. They qualified through the European qualifying. Part of the freaking country is in Europe. Not sure what other evidence you need. [/ QUOTE ] Well, Israel is also in the European qualifying groups. Does that make Israel an European country? |
