That seems reasonable. I felt very clever for a few moments because my read was good, but in retrospect there are just too many ways I could be beaten or flipping. If you had TT would you call?

You might be ahead here but I usually fold as it is early on. UTG+1 could have a range of hands that have you crushed. He could have easily limped a low PP and hit a set or limped in a higher pair than yours like 99 or TT. Even if he is making a terrible play with AK I think you should just outplay him later in the tournament...

It's tempting, but folding is right.
Given that it's an unraised pot, you're looking at a ton of hands that have you crushed. Short of a straight, you could be up against any one of three different sets, or 99-AA (although the higher up you go in pairs, the less likely it is that is what villian has). And if villian has any of those, he's right to push here because he will get called by drawing hands or top pair -- and with this many players seeing the flop, there's undoubtedly someone out there with at least that, or in your case, better. Even if villian has JKd, you're exactly 50-50 to survive. Not worth it this early, unless you suck and your only hope of winning is to get lucky in break-even situations. Doesn't the fact that villain made a huge overbet make any difference? In my experience, and I may be wrong, that sort of bet usually either means that villain has a vulnerable hand and just wants to get rid of everybody, or that villain is on a draw. I figured that the two most likely possibilities were that he had top pair and that he was scared of pretty much any overcards falling on the turn, or that he had some sort of diamond draw.

Even the hugest of hands here is vulnerable. There's both flush and straight possibilities out here, and with five other players in the pot, I don't want all of them to see the turn. One would be fine, and I might just get it here with a push. If I don't, it's still a good pot to pick up.
Sure, villian might be on a draw, but you're 50-50 here, not to mention you have others to act that have you beaten. If this were heads-up, your overbet concerns would be more valid. But I could easily see this move if the villian has a huge hand.
