I guess this is why the Amerks are an AHL team. Streak of eight 1-goal games broken. For once it wasn't nerve racking, just depressing.

to positive spin it best I can...

...2 goals were off of defensemen
...1 goal was a redirect
...1 goal was a legit PP

....so the bounces didnt go are way....and Gerber stole one...we need to steal G5 in Carolina

I agree. This was not a great game obviously. But it was not as bad as the score would indicate. Some flukey goals for Carolina and Gerber made some great stops. Buffalo wasn't great, but they certainly weren't dominated or anything like they were in game 2.

Yeah I feel like these hockey analysts are just way too results-oriented. I didn't see us get schooled very much - it was the Ottawa series in reverse - fairly evenly played, they got better goaltending. Miller has proven he can play on the road - I like his chances of playing a B+/A- game in Game 5. Problem is you still need Numinen and/or Connolly back on top of that to ultimately win the series, which may or may not happen. Gerber getting hot is certainly disturbing; have to get to him early next game.

mosuavea,
I heard '1 from Raleigh' on WGR. They were referring to households with a TV - those #'s are probably TV's that were on, which I think is the "share"...I dunno, been a while since my Communications class.

Anyway, I don't hold anything against their fans. Buffalo fans don't care about Nascar. Whatever, to each his own. I just found it astounding that anybody would bother to argue this point that Carolinians don't care much about hockey.

Any thoughts on Game 5 tonight?
Connolly is out, no word yet on Numminen. It'd be nice to win "pivotal G5" but I kinda feel like this series is going 7 regardless so I'm not super nervous.
